RØDE Reporter

I like this app and use it a lot. It’s simple and does the job well, making high quality recordings with my RØDE VideoMicro. However, since the latest app upgrade, background recording has stopped working. I hope that can be fixed as I regularly take notes in another app while recording audio with RØDE Recorder.

It hangs. Doesnt stop recording.

I do not know the reason this app should be created by Rode. There's no special features for the rode devices. Unlike Rode Capture, this app cannot change wireless mic setting in the app nor select inputs among bluetooth mic and rode wireless mic. I cannot change the saved file name format at all so I have to fiddle with the actual recording after downooading the audio files.

No support. Constant issues

When I connect my Rode IXY mic, it doesn’t give the high definition option anymore, it just record at standard quality. What is up with that?

After updating to iOS 16, my Videomic Go II is no longer detected as a RODE mic and I can’t access the advanced settings. Please fix this :(

I’ve had multiple issues with this software through various updates. Keep hoping Rose gets it right. Currently cannot hear audio playback through headphones using SC6-L. Monitors audio ok when recording, although volume seems low, nothing on playback. V1.1.23. with SC6-L firmware 1.0.3. iPhone 11 with latest iOS. Sorry I bought mics and reporter kit. Tired of troubleshooting. Time to move on…

Identifies the mic I’ve plugged in, but records nothing … produces an silent file of the correct length. Unplug the mic to use internal mic, same result. Useless app.

I’m a podcaster and I can’t recover my interviews because it literally keeps freezing 😤

What did you guys do to this app??? This is so bad.
