Rogue

Looks great, gameplay is close enough to the original, brings back memories... but crashes just like the original too.

I never even played the original version of rogue (but I am a massive fan of roguelikes), and I'm finding this very fun to play. Only problem is for some reason it just started crashing a few seconds after starting up, so I had to delete and re-download it. But it is incredible and I greatly recommend it.

Sorry developers/publishers but this isn't Rogue. UI just doesn't work for me - given how small most caves are in ASCII give the option of ditching the graphic view and having a mini keyboard

Crap!!!!!!!

This is great nostalgia trip, and in landscape mode looks just as I remember playing this absorbing game back in Uni. The graphics mode is a big improvement, and the gesture system for commands makes for easy control, although it takes a while to learn the individual gestures. A good implementation of the original turn based RPG, and I can play as long as I like, without worrying about completing coursework :)

One thing it needs is a quit function -otherwise how do you win without dying?

moria, angaband etc. etc - controls take a bit of getting used to but for us old schoolers (was playing this in lunch room at work yesterday to much bemusement) brilliant.

Used to play this on an old Atari. Very adictive and a must for lovers of D and D games. All I need to know is, is it worth getting the other version that you have to pay for? I love this game (already got to level 15).

Amazing game up until the point I got caught by a trap which teleported me to a room with no doors. I had to reinstall the app because of this, as I can't find a new game button.

Great port to the iPhone, I tip my hat to the developer for a very well thought out touch screen control system for this ASCII rogue like. I am really looking forward to his Nethack port, great game if you enjoy this genre, if you are an old school gamer, and remember the likes of Moria, this is for you.
