I’ve tried for months to be able to add reviews, but that functionality doesn’t work. It just takes you back to the map over time over. Cool idea, bad app

I was really excited as a wheelchair user to be able to share with other wheelchair users info on accessible businesses in the NYC area, because so many are not accessible. I never got past the sign up page. I got multiple error messages that my data couldn’t be loaded or my password was incorrect. I changed my password 5x and tried to reload more times than I can count. I’m done. Deleting the app now. It’s a shame.
I am new to the app. I was unhappy to learn that my location services need to be on and sharing data with this app in order to access the app at any level. Even if what I want to do is prospectively plan a trip and review locations in advance, my location sharing must be active to get into the app. To me this is a significant limitation. To save battery and some sense of control of my data, I don’t have location tracking and sharing on at all times. I certainly don’t need it for all of the benefits this app offers. That said, the app provides useful information and empowerment that is welcome.
I write this with hope that even those from small towns such as myself will download this. Even if you do not use a wheelchair or live somewhere with a small population this app is incredibly helpful. Not only am I able to check places I have reviewed or others have reviewed to see the accessibility but I can also fill in places that haven’t been reported on or have been reported wrong. Even if you do not use any mobility aids I strongly believe that getting this app and filling out info on places you visit can cause a huge positive impact for those with mobility concerns.
It’s such a great idea but search doesn’t return any results and no reviews are visible regardless of where I look. They used to be visible and searchable, now nothing at all shows up.
Need to add the following options or abilities: 1. Edit and update posts 2. Option for handicap access at back or side of location 3. Ability to manually input locations not found on map. 4. Add categories for handicap access for a location such as elevator, ramps, lifts, etc and number and location of access point 5. Add comments section
I work with the elderly, and feel like this app could be a great resource. However, I do have a few suggestions. First, I think there should be an “I don’t know” option that doesn’t affect the location’s score. To me, an able bodied person, a threshold doesn’t normally grab my attention unless I actively trip over it. I don’t want to say there are no issues with the threshold if I don’t remember. This also ties in to places having the wrong filters applied. I reviewed a theater I attend regularly that does not have tables you can sit at, but I wasn’t able to leave the answer blank. Second, there are a few businesses in my area that are missing. I would like if there was an option to add a place. It may be a feature already, but I didn’t see it on my own. Again, I feel like this app has so much good potential. I sent it to many friends, and someone I know that uses a wheelchair. I’m hoping we can get the page for our city fully with reviews. Keep making improvements!
Needs more categories - restaurant vs apartment complex for instance would help defined questions. Otherwise, such a great idea and tool! I think this will go far!
Cool concept but very very buggy, phone number login & google login don’t work at all. Difficult to look up businesses, and once you go to a business’s page it may not let you scroll down to the reviews or swipe back to the map & you have to restart the app to do anything else. Tapping existing reviews sometimes shows a different screen but sometime does nothing. The location pin is also off-target compared to other map apps I have on the same phone. Since this is unusable I’m going back to the similar iAccess Life app.
Very excited for this app. I love its questions. I do think an “idk” option should be available. As well as a service dog access issue question “did you have a service dog related access issue?” “yes, no, n/a” Very excited to use this. Could also include some information about friendliness of staff when accommodations are needed (could also just put in notes) and also the option to make broken. “Is there an automatic door?” “Yes but broken”
