Room(Scan)

At our boutique NGO (Asociația unPi pentru Școlari, www.unpi.ro/english) we strive to create smart solutions for everyone.
The Room(Scan) app represents the perfect solution for creating detailed floor plans of any interior space! Room(Scan) requires an iPhone or an iPad with a build-in LiDAR sensor. Whether you're an interior designer, architect, or simply someone looking to redesign a room, Room(Scan) is the perfect starting point for your project.
To scan a room, simply point your device at all the walls, windows, doors and furniture in your space until your scan is complete. By quickly scanning the room with your device's camera, Room(Scan) generates a detailed floor plan that can be exported in various formats and easily shared with colleagues or clients. Room(Scan) will offer you visual feedback illustrating real-time scanning progress, and a dollhouse visualisation that shows everything in the room that has been recognised.
With Room(Scan) you can easily export your scan in a USDZ file format that include dimensions of each component recognised in the room, such as walls or cabinets, as well as the type of furniture detected. The dimensions and placement of each individual component can be further adjusted when exported into various USDZ-compatible tools, such as Cinema 4D, Shapr3D, or AutoCAD.
