Roon is the most rewarding piece of software I have used for music listening and discovering. Needs a subscription and at least a computer, it the best for me is the support for many streamers, dac’s and airplay. Love to use the chromecast feature to show the cover on the tv. The latest builds have become fast, the only downside is that needs constant internet connection to work, without internet you can not play music. Other than that, there are alternatives, but no other has the look, experience and metadata that roon offers so beautifully. The latest versions have become faster and the stability has improved to a point that simply works.

Over the last week I’ve experienced app crashing everything I use it. It holds for 5 sec and then it closes on itself. Please fix this.

Roon in general is a great way to listen to music and manage your album collection. Unfortunately the app itself is sub-standard. It crashes constantly or sometimes just gets stuck. Every time you unlock your phone the app has to refresh. And being able to search your favorite albums like on the iPad version would be ideal.

Last several months have had big problems with Roon Core on MacMini connecting with Lumin U2 Mini on same network. Often have to turn off private relay and/or reset and reboot local network settings for app. Today my IOS app won’t connect to the MacMini core. Coincidence that today I was charged my annual $150….ugh. Not happy with all of the work required to make it function.

Love the whole ecosystem otherwise. Lifetime license owner. I preach the Church of Roon to all who will listen.

On my latest version of iPad os, every time I click on the three dots details button of a track, it crashes. Happens to all tracks.

1. The Dark Mode icon is not working in iPadOS. 2. Not accessible for non-visual users who need keyboard navigation.

This app works great on my iPhone, but it is a complete failure on the new iPad Pro (11”) do not know why is this happening, how Roon can fix it or if it is an issue of the iPad that apple solves it, it is very frustrating.

I saw that there were discussions in the community last year about the Roon remote app not supporting VoiceOver, and it is still the case today. As a visually impaired person, I feel very frustrated. Roon has deprived me of my right to listen to music. I hope future versions can improve accessibility.
