I Must Be Expecting A Rotary Simulacrum
Not a Rotary Simulation ... which is not a fair expectation. Wanting or expecting something that is better than the original is a good goal to set, but depending on your audio set up, you probably won’t be blown away by drifting separated stereo sources. It does what it does very well, but if you are applying the effect in an iPad and listening to the onboard speakers or equivalent, expect it to be more like a ramping tremolo. I haven’t yet hooked up to better monitors to find that rotation that should be there, but even without my unfair ideal (thinking more like WAVES stereo Doppler effect where the farther the sound the slower the ramp, etc) it’s still a great effect. Soooo ... when am I going to get a Doppler effect, Mr Eventide?
