I enjoy the app because it’s super convenient to cash checks and transfer money from my phone without having to go to an ATM or a bank location.
I used to bank locally and was regularly treated very poorly — not the case with RCU! They are fantastic to work with, and the app is incredibly intuitive and user friendly!
I switched to credit union banking about three years ago in the hope that it would be easier. It’s not. The reason is because Royal Credit Union’s online banking app is often shut down due to maintenance purposes or for 3rd party evaluations to “verify” their customers like just now that I can’t even log into my online banking app to transfer money from savings account to checking account for gas (I often transfer money between the two accounts to help me better regulate my spendings, etc). This is scary! Imagine going overseas and you have to transfer money between the two accounts and have this issue. This happens way too often and not just a once-in-a-while thing lately! I’ll be switching back to Wells Fargo and just work my way up to paying off debts and buying my first house and not having to deal with these online banking shut downs anymore!
Logging in is a struggle itself, most of the time it won’t let me gain access. The fact that it is also hard to transfer money is also beyond me. Needs some serious work.
I love my Royal app. I can quickly check balances make transfers and keep track of all four of my kids spending!!! Bill payment is a breeze! The app continues to be improved and appreciate that!
This app makes it nearly impossible to make a payment from a not royal account. I also can not find how to set up auto pay.
Sad to see this app experience go backward. Last I logged in, I attempted to copy/paste my username and password into the log in info screen. The app wouldn’t allow me to paste. Given this I decided I’d try to type my password out. I needed to swap between apps to see my password and swap back to type, multiple times. Only catch was every time I’d swap between apps, the password would clear making that method impossible. I finally was able to log in after closing the app out a few times and it finally allowing me to paste my password. Second issue is the deposit a check interface has gone backward in terms of usability and look/feel. The UI is more confusing than it was before. Actually depositing a check is frustrating at best. I was prompted multiple times during the picture process that my front/back photos of the check was incompatible or that the edges of the check couldn’t be found. I never had this issue in the past.
I DON'T need to know i was logged out "due to inactivity"! What is the purpose of that harassment that forces me to click a button? Your programmers are overpaid.
Employees treat us your customers like they are treated. There is not a “ dumb down “ attitude amongst your group. They are helpful and knowledgeable.
