RTÉ Radio Player

Yes, the RTÉ Radio app upgrade is different to the previous one. Different good! Here we have a simple and visual means of selecting all that’s available on this site. Much easier to get around compared to the previous version. Really well done. I especially like the RTÉ radio “Listen Back” feature on this app and to continue listening later if interrupted. Simple to keep up to date with the goings in Ireland. Thank you. Phelim

I found Marty in the morning years ago when visiting g Ireland for the first time. The music is fantastic and chatter from Marty hilarious even all the way down here in Sydney. Keep it going Marty. Rob

Not sure why the app was updated with a version which is more clunky and difficult to navigate… what a waste of money RTE!

Frustrating have to use headphone or device speaker, can’t use HomePod

The new version is clunky. It takes ages to load. If I “listen back” and pause for some reason (work) when to I go back to pick up where I left off it doesn’t return to listen back(even though it’s displayed on screen and in the menu it says it’s playing) it instead plays live. When half swiping upwards to put the app in the background and continue to listen while doing something else it won’t half swipe. It goes all the way up and shuts down the app. Bring back the previous version.

The app drops out every few minutes making it impossible to listen to anything. It used to work very well. I am in Australia.

Rarely works properly. Impossible to get into many of the clips within the different shows. If you come back to a given clip, it starts you from the beginning all over again and you cannot move forward. If you want to move it back to listen to something, you cannot. Some clips play and some clips don't. Absolutely abysmal service.

Still freezes or jams on one programme or on live programming, trying to recover or restart just bring another round of repeated ads; most frustrating app I’ve ever used Please go back to the old simpler app of 5/6/7?? Years ago. Each change is a downgrade; app continually gets jammed; ads repeat ad nauseam after every glitch or pause….. Keeps crashing, ads repeat even when reload. Terrible buffering. Rubbish

Very embarrassing from a national broadcaster- limited functionality and very slow to load.
