RUN-CHICKEN

As much as I like the automatic door, the app is not worth the space it takes on my phone. The app will not tell you whether the door is open or closed…or stuck. You cannot manually open or close the door with the app if it is currently set to specific time or light sensitivity. I set up a wifi camera in our coop to be able to check on the chickens without physically disturbing them. Thankfully I’ve never had an emergency situation where I needed to override the door program to let the chickens out - but that really should be a feature of the app. About the only useful thing in the app (besides being able to easily change the program) is checking the level on the battery charge. For now I’ve deleted the app. If the developers decide to include those features I’d be willing to download it again.

I was under the impression when I bought my door that I could control it via the app. The app has some use but it doesn’t show or control the activity of the door unless you’re literally standing right next to it. And in that case you don’t need the app. Disappointing.

If you’re downloading this app to install your Run Chicken door do as the name suggest and RUN!! Initiate a return and don’t look back. This product is terrible and customer service is a hassle. I also I’m very skeptical why this product even has an app. It’s not really app enabled. You have to hold your phone up to the device for the app to do anything. It’s not like you can use your phone as a remote or make changes remotely. All of the animation this device does could be done with like 3 buttons on the face of the unit. It makes me question what personal information this company outside of the USA is looking to gather from our cellular devices through this app.

I have been using this for about one year and it has worked fine for me. I do hope in the future they come out with a wifi version so I could manually open/close remotely.

App does not function as remote open/close for door or timer. The door itself is cool (I think, it’s only day one), but I was under the impression it would work with my phone. It does not.

This app is useless beyond a couple settings you can change. No remote door control. What a waste of resources

Using gps mode and doesn’t work… will randomly open at night and won’t open at morning

If you do not provide the open and close functions using my mobile device, then what’s the point, really? Everything existing in the application could have been achieved with a website. Anyway, looking forward to seeing the functions soon. Thank you!
