I was initially excited about this program, but am now extremely frustrated, and there doesn’t even seem to be a way to cancel the service. They give you these little green checkmarks if you complete a run, but… do your long run on a Monday instead of Sunday? Fail. Skip your rest day on Monday? Fail. Do your daily miles over two runs instead of one? Fail. Any spontaneous interaction with your assigned coach? Nope. I tried to give feedback through the system, couldn’t reach anyone who could actually help. This app and expensive program made me hate running.
The app has pretty good plans however, it is not very good at tracking you during training. It often lags or will say you ran less miles than you’ve actually run. I cannot rely on the app alone during training. I’m forced to use either an Apple Watch or Nike app to track how many miles and minutes I am actually running. Would y recommend purchasing to someone training for a race due to these issues.
I have used this app for 4 years now. Have subscribed before. It was good on subscription. Even when my subscription ran out used to like the plan it generated and weekly goal tracker. I wish the price would be tired for features instead of a lump sum. I also request a widget which can show you your weekly calendar and runs you ran and supposed to run, at least for the premium version.
Tried other coaching apps, but this has worked the best for me. The only issue I have is that the interface during a training run isn’t really designed for older people. Instructions for the segment are in small light blue type that doesn’t contrast well with the background. And it would be nice to see what the next segment is (like you can in Intervals Pro)
I use to be able to sync my Strava data on the free service. You are now forced to subscribe or only get basic info to read through the app. Super disappointing and will be looking for something else to use.
Used to be a great app for simply tracking your runs / workouts and having a simple plan to follow. (Run 5 miles today). It had real value before they switched to a subscription model just to be able to sync your device. With all the other option out there it doesn’t seem worth it anymore. I can understand subscription if you’re looking for guided workouts etc. I would recommend they move to an ad based model for casual users who just want a simple marathon plan and a place to track workouts that makes sure they are following the plan without having to manually enter everything.
I’ve used this app for 3 years. Just came back from an injury hiatus to find out they now want you to pay 200$ a year for me to sync my device?! No thanks. Apps and streaming services are getting so out of hand with all the monthly fees for services that used to be free.
Previously free features like health sync or device sync (Strava, etc) have been moved to a subscription. I’ll be leaving this system behind and looking elsewhere.
I’d love to use this (and used to use My Run Plan, which had the same basic features) but the app keeps crashing after login. Hard to use if it won’t stay open.
