Found the app yesterday, when heading out to rewatch Dune part 1. It’s a long film and the cinema has unlimited drinks and hot dogs… you just had to fetch them yourself. Average of around 4:30 breaks, every 30 minutes or so during the film made, perfect time for breaks/refil. Popped my phone in DND, but allowed this one app to send notifications during DND. On point a vibration in my pocket meant one thing. Checked my watch and looked out for the signal phrase. Five stars, brilliant free app.
Keeps saying connection timed out, like I don’t have internet yet every other app works fine. Useless waste of time.
I love this app! It has revolutionised my cinema experience. Looking forward to using it.
Taking the p
I first used this app because I have a bladder condition that means I always have to pee at least once during a film; RunPee has totally revolutionised that for me I’m not only being able to pick the right / best time(s) to dash out to pee, but also to be able to read a summary of what happens during that break so I don’t have to miss anything. I have my iPhone set to do not disturb, but just have RunPee as the one authorised app on that so I have my phone locked next to me (screen up) and the notifications just before each pier time pop up in it (but the screen still stays dark) - works perfectly. However, I now also use this app for the useful feature of seeing if there’s anything extra during / after the credits to wait to watch (a friend of mine downloaded the app just for that reason!). And, finally, I love rating the film with my expectation before watching and then my rating after watching, and seeing how this compares to the average. Saw some what I would say are unfair reviews here, which is why I wanted to write this as this app has revolutionised my experience of going to the cinema and I would be lost without it!
…. And I can’t see myself using it without an apple watch app. The watch app would 1) scroll between current films using dial (ideally you could give calendar access and it’d make a guess to try and bring likely movie to top, if title in calendar) 2) having selected film, show “start when”, “time until” and peetime quality 3) buzz wrist at 30sec - and switch to show “start when” and “you have” 4) during peetime, dial give synopsis 5) after peetime, if another peetime go to 2), else 6) show countdown to film end, with indication of post credit stuff
Tells me when to pee and what I’ll miss. I can set a timers/reminder so I pee at the right point. I can see how long the end credits are, and crucially, whether there is anything worth waiting for at the end of them. Ongoing development over the years has taken it from the free app I first used to something really slick. It has become a one stop movie home, linking to review sites as well. A great idea, run by a dedicated family. As for the review about no time to die. It is there today (two days after release, it may have been there sooner but I didn’t check). Somebody needs to watch it first and the family are American. Often, by the time a film launches in the UK the peetimes are there.
Great idea but not up to date. I downloaded because I am going to watch probably the biggest cinema movie of the year No Time To Die and it’s not on the app, shame. I’m deleting it.
Who else came here from that tik tok
