Samleikin is a Faroese digital identity that can be used as a secure authentication on various e-services.
You need to register for Samleikin, before you can use the app. You can order it directly in the app or personally at Staravegur 9 in Tórshavn.
To order Samleikin, you need to be 15 or older, have a Faroese p-tal and a valid ID, passport og driver's licence, at hand.
You will use Samleikin everytime you log in to a e-service connected to Samleikin. Samleikin uses two factor authentication. This means that when you log in, you must go through two steps.
Step 1: Have your phone by hand in order to approve login
Step 2: Enter your personal PIN in the app.
First, go to the service you want to logon to. When you logon, Samleikin will notify you on your handheld device. When you open the app, a picture will be shown. This should be the same picture that you see on the logon site. When you have verified the pictures, you will be asked to type in your personal PIN in your Samleikin app.
You can choose to use the app in English or Faroese.

Heilt ófatuliga skuffaður av hesum!
Mann skuldi trúð, at alt bleiv skjótari við tíðini, men hendan appin/skipanin er ikki eitt gott dømi! Næstan øll týdningarmikil brøv verða nú send umvegis Vangan, men um tú ikki fylgir væl við 2. hvørt ár, so missir tú atgongd til alt samskifti, sum hevur stóran týdning. Eitt er at netbankin sveik viðhvørt, men nú er lykilin til netbankan - ein skipan - sum svíkur oftari! Hvat er hetta fyri skil?
Ikki til sjófólk
Kann ikki brúkast av sjófólkum. Kann bara brúkast á einari eind.
Skræpa
Totalt tað vánaligasta system nakrantíð. Ófatuliga at man skal vera kroystur til at fáa sær hettar. Óvirðiligt fyri fólk.
Riggar slett ikki
Appin krashar bara. Havi genstarta bæði telefonina og appina. Havi entá sletta heila lortið á telefonini og totalt resetta hana og eingin munur er. Uppá grund av hesum havi eg ikki atgongd til meginpartin av tingum sum hava rigga fínt áðrenn hendan appin kom. Fari at missa atgongd til mína bankakontu vegna EINARI app sum ikki riggar. Supportin var heldur ikki til nakra nyttu og kundi akkurát tað sama bara biðið meg klára meg sjálvan.
Virkuliga vánaligt
Appin riggar illa. Tað er alt ov ofta atan ikki sleppur inn á til týdningarmikil boð tí at hetta er einasti máti at fáa tey. Nógv betur um tit bara lata vera við at spæla so forbannað moderna og lata tað sum riggar fáa frið!
Fantastisk loysn
Takk fyri eina góða loysn. Einasta, sum eg haldi manlgar, er at kunna logga inn við faceID 😊
I’d give app 0 stars if I could
Why would I give them 0 stars Well it’s simple If you’re not danish Faroese you can’t get this unless you show up to the place to get it, except no where on the Website does it say that you have to get an appointment. It says you have to go to the the office if you don’t have a Faroese passport or a Danish But nope you have to get an appointment. So I’ve wasted a whole day to made to feel like I do not belong in this country one more time
Virker øjensynlig ikke på min Ipad
Meget interessant ring, der nu har gentaget sig selv i ca. 20 minutter, indtil jeg nu afbrød den og måtte vende tilbage.
