ScanKey - QR OCR NFC Keyboard

Reads QR, Barcodes, Text & NFC

Veröffentlicht von: Matthias Herbrich

Beschreibung

ScanKey is an additional keyboard for iOS devices, which integrates a scanner for QR-/bar codes and an OCR scanner (Optical Character Recognition) to recognize printed alpha numeric text and words with the camera. With iPhone 7 and iPhone Plus 7 or higher you can read NFC tags from app and directly from keyboard.
This makes work easier e.g. for filling out forms, which require to enter complex codes or IDs by hand (Example: EAN product codes). With ScanKey keyboard simply scan the codes or text and it will be filled automatically in the active text field.
In QR-/barcode scanner you can either scan single codes or use batch mode to scan multiple codes which will be merged together with a configurable separator.
With the Post-Processor Engine, it's really easy to modify the scan result with various filters which can be configured in any specific order.
The in-app Image-To-Text function extracts non-handwritten text from images.
Quick actions allows you to trigger in-app scans very fast from your home screen.
QWERTZ and QWERTY and NUMERIC layout is supported.

Great app

Exactly what I was looking for, to enter data from QR codes into a Numbers spreadsheet. I would have been happy to pay for it, but since the developer won’t take my money 😀 all I can do is express my gratitude for this great app. Thanks!

Wrong camera

The app uses the wide angle camera and won’t focus on barcodes.

Doesn’t work with iPhone 14 Pro

This app worked great on an older iPhone. But without the option to choose which camera the app uses, I cannot get it to focus enough on the barcode to read. I think it is because it is using the wide-angle camera instead of using the normal camera. Hopefully can be addressed in an update.

Love this app!

Breaks iOS’ multilingual autocorrect

a.lseguin on

It took me months to realize that this custom keyboard was the reason why multilingual autocorrect stopped working on my iPhone. You don’t have to be using the keyboard itself. The moment this keyboard is part of your keyboard list, multilingual autocorrect stops working no matter the keyboard you use.

Only works intermittently on iOS 15

I've been using this app for several years now, and it's been tremendously valuable. Unfortunately, since upgrading to iOS 15, it doesn't always return the scanned data to the app anymore. Sometimes it still works, but frequently I can scan a barcode, see the value in the scanning window, but get nothing at all in Notes or whatever app once I tap OK.

I can’t find the keyboard in iOS 14! I tried deleting and reinstalling app and no dice. Please fix this bug!! Update: I found it after rebooting phone, reinstalling, and then looking forward it under Anerkenungen in ScanKey preferences.

Best free app ever!

Hands down the best free utility app on the App Store today. This has saved us so much time and effort. THANK YOU!

Needs improvement.

- Default keyboard should be on Numeric so we can use this keyboard specifically for scanning barcode. - By default auto return should be on - Switching between Keyboard should be easy just by taping on the globe. - “Open app” needs to be removed when we press on the globe. It is really annoying. - Auto return doesn’t work - Keyboard keep changing from default keyboard to Scankey. This is so annoying.
