No handwritten Hebrew again
😍😍😍
Convenient , nice , helpful 5 stars
Well so I just downloaded this app hoping to learn some simple ASL, and I was excited to try it. So first things first the app wanted me to make an account, so I selected “login with the email” and entered my name, email, and password. It just said “incorrect username or password” even though I was trying to CREATE AN ACCOUNT. I tried adding a number to my password and it still didn’t work. Eventually I had to just create my account thorough google. Once I made my account I selected ASL, but it said that my learning time was up. I HADNT EVEN PLAYED YET. I gave the app 3 stars because I play drops and enjoy that, and I’m sure once I get more time it will be a good app.
I love the way it teaches you! It has pictures behind the symbols making it easy to remember each symbol
The Japanese kanji have a number of errors, such as wrong stroke orders and completely missing strokes. While tracing the cursive forms of letters in Cyrillic and English it is constantly giving errors and making it extremely frustrating to use. Especially on forms that go back on themselves before progressing to the next part of the letter. Why would I be erasing the letter while practicing writing the stroke?
I’m trying to learn Japanese and this helps my writing sooooooooooooooooo much but there’s barely any time for me to do anything I do 5 characters and then times up! PLEASE GIVE MORE TIME
Learning Russian Cyrillic. The fields of teaching and linguistics have already established the most effective ways to teach phonics and alphabet systems, but the developers of this app don’t know that. The most important thing to drill is the sound of the letter first, then next most important is the name. It would be far more helpful if the fricatives would have the audio of the phoneme (ex. In English, “mmm” instead of “em”/letter name of M) rather than the name of the letter. Later on, this sets up students for success by readying them to blend sounds when reading first words. The use of anchor words is not important, and in fact, it’s a distracting and adds visual clutter. It’s a nice gesture to want to encourage by saying we’ve learned 1 anchor word per letter by this is simply not the case: these words are have no audio recording and they’re not translated so they’re completely meaningless. I will need to finish learning the alphabet elsewhere. Unfortunately, this app is pretty but it simply didn’t teach me what I needed.
Very helpful
I heard a classmate in my beginning Chinese course recommend this for learning the characters, but I have to say that for all that the animations are pretty I’m rather disappointed by this app. There are no explanations of what the characters you learn are commonly used for other than one word beneath the character (which often isn’t even the most used definition of that character, like “shield” for 干), some of the characters you learn are simply bizarrely obscure, and finally the amount of characters there are to learn is very lacking. All in all, I’d say that downloading this app for Hanzi is a waste of time.
