Secrets | Password Manager

Unlike other password managers, dies not pick up passwords on websites automatically. Developer in his email suggested to fill it in manually. Surely, to do this no need to purchase a nicely designed but useless piece os code

I recently switched to Secrets after becoming unhappy with 1Password's terrible Electron apps and subscription model. What a refreshing change! The MacOS and iOS apps are native, fast, simple to navigate and the autofill integration with Safari works perfectly. iCloud sync also works reliably. It does lack some of the more advanced features of other password managers, but generally works very well. Some things I'd like to see: * The ability to generate passwords >50 chars * Being able to add arbitrary additional fields (e.g. recovery codes) with the option to hide the contents by default (like the password field) * Being able to search for duplicate (reused) passwords * The ability to pair secrets-remote (CLI) directly with the MacOS app, rather than just iOS * Being able to copy OTP to the clipboard on iOS like MacOS (1Password does this via notifications) * The ability to always display the details pane by default

If you don't want to payout for subscription based password managers, if you want iCloud storage rather than using someones server to store data then get this app! £7.99 is an absolute steal, I now use it over Keychain (Apples Own) it's very easy to use support dual MacOS & iOS ecosystems and can be used in browser! I think the app is new so there will be a lot of great new features coming! I would like to be able to customise each of my passwords icons rather than relying on favicon web icons.

I tried other password apps and they never seem to work that well. This seems to work every time so I have this as my only password app and have disabled the built in IPhone passwords app when auto filling usernames & passwords

Icons are randomly swapping between entries, for example one minute Amazon has the Amazon icon, the next is has the icon of another listed near it. The is the same across iOS and macOS versions. It’s usually a manually uploaded icon that replaces other icons if this helps to assist with solving this.

A great app that I can use on all my iOS devices, and sync securely with my Mac devices as well. Makes it quick and simple to manage secure, unique passwords. It’s fantastic 👍 Paying up front to use it is preferable to me, than paying continuously for a subscription.

Generally works ok but would be better if auto alphabet listing facility was included My BlackBerry did this. John

Password management is hard! But Secrets makes wrangling some order into your credentials a little bit easier. Creating and managing passwords is a little bit fiddly on an iPad — websites with silly and undocumented requirements are my favourite. So I often use macOS Secrets to create logins and it all syncs nicely with iCloud. It’s also hampered by limitations placed on AutoFill password extensions, hopefully Apple fixes those in time. Some customisation would be nice, I’d like to hide a few of the default filters, ‘Expired Credit Cards’, ‘Wallet’ and ‘Notes’. Overall I’m very happy with Secrets, and the developers are open to suggestions too.
