Sense Home

When it works it's great but it keeps crashing. 3 weeks ago it went off line for no apparent reason. I wrote in for help. Then 2 days later it came back on. It just went offline AGAIN and I have been unable to get it working again. PLEASE make a better and more reliable app! Thanks!

Latest update Version 2024.8 has some kind of horrible memory leak. If you open the app for the first time it works fine and feels snappy. But once you send the app to the background and it spends few hours there and then you open it back and try to scroll the usage through the day you will see it will be very laggy and almost unusable. I have to kill the app and re-open it and it will work fine for a few hours and get bogged down again. Please look into the memory leak issue.

I’ve had the Sense for over 8 years. It’s always been inconsistent and unreliable. Just loses WiFi connection for no reason. Tech support says it only works on 2.5GHz which I have dedicated to the Sense alone but still will not connect. Tech support has no real reason it will not work even though I’ve done every possible solution they suggested. Waste of money.

UPDATED: Timing is everything! 😉 There was a problem on the Sense server side that was resolved. I am in IT, and I understand that sometimes ‘poop’ happens. I was just so used to the uptime being 100%, I guess. Wonderful product, and app is working well. Revising my 1-star to a 5-star. ORIGINAL: ‘Your network could be down, or the Sense server returned an error. Tap to try again.’ Not the message I want to see. Seems to check out using the built in network test, as well as the ‘Meter’ graph is working for the most part. It seems like the v54.0 might have a bug that needs to be fixed soon. Is there any way to revert back to a prior sw release?

Keep getting request failed and data is very slow to load. I can’t see any data other than from the last 10 minutes.

App worked until updating to iPhone 14. App still works on older iPad but when opening app on iPhone 14, all that is returned is “request failed” …

The Sense device itself is great, but this update that took away the color scheme options and dark background in place of forcing this awful blue and orange makes me hate even opening the app now. There was nothing wrong with how the app looked cosmetically before and now it’s an eyesore. Focus more on fixing device detection and making the goals actually work, and stop changing things that weren’t broken.

This new update spreads the information out too much. It went from a nice compact design of what just turned on, to now a long list of boxes, you have to scroll a lot to see the info.

This product is great! Not only can I see those valuable electrons that come from the sun, I can also coach the rest of my family on when to run the toaster and make the best decisions on the washer and dryer.
