SentryView: For Tesla Cars

My setup: SanDisk ixpand mini flash drive, Jeda hub, iPhone Positives: - Real time scrubbing is invaluable. - Face detection is a nice feature to fast track checks. - App development is continuing and improving - Support is responsive and helpful. - Performance and stability has improved over time. Negatives: - Load every time the user scrolls through the different times. Usually you just want to go the the second last time slot but every time you select a new sentry event, it loads the last time slot. - When Telsa updates Sentry formats, it can take awhile for iOS version of SentryView to come out (due to Apple approval process). - Paying for additional features like face detection. - Cost benefit vs what you get from Telsa now for free. Might not be worth it for some people. - Need to format the USB using Masterboot record for iOS devices. This is a hidden option in Mac OS. It is in the FAQ of the App but couldn’t the App detect whether the scheme is Masterboot record and tell the user the problem?

The App crashed. Despite shutting it and reloading it now doesn’t even open on my iPhone so is completely useless. Waste of money unfortunately. Pleased others are getting it to function but I cannot.

Hi will there be an update soon for software v10? Mine has stopped working because of new folder structure and can’t see new rear cam view. Thanks for a great app otherwise!

It just works and works well.. love it, a little clunky initially but once it gets going it’s amazing..

Some much easier than downloading you USB and checking the files. I recommend using a screen capture program like Go Record to convert it to video that you can save to your camera roll. Hopefully this feature will get added later.

Works great! A lot more convenient than taking the drive out of the car and into the house every time I want to view a sentry event. Would be even better if it could support flash drives with lightning plugs.

I love this standalone app to view my sentry recordings fast. I also received a great support form the developer.

This app is great and it’s one of a suite of tesla apps he makes.

I reported a bug in the app to the developer and within a couple of hours it was fixed and the update was in the App Store.

I’ve been using a free app for viewing footages because I could not find anything useful out there. This is my second app from this developer and I do find both of the apps useful. This app can be a bit clunky but trust me, it is easy and practical to use. I can view and scrub, delete, find videos with ease. You will want to get the person detect feature. It’s just a one time small fee for something that will “turbo” boost the usefulness of this app. You know Tesla owners are usually paranoid lol so I check if anybody gets too close to our babies. :) It does crash occasionally but reopening the app is quick and doesn’t bother me. My only wish is to be able to natively save single videos other than the composite. The screen recording method can be clunky but doable if needed. Oh and if you have an issue, the developer responds quickly, either through Twitter or email.
