Love this app!
Just wish there is a dark mode as a one-time purchase rather than a subscription for features i don't need.

This is the best pomodoro app I’ve found. It follows all the basic tenants from the ticking sound, to the notes while you focus. It’s an incredibly well built app. The only thing I would add is a watch app.
You can tell the developer is passion about this project by how extensible it is. He has well documented URI integration for shortcuts and many features for viewing your data
I’ve tried timer apps in the past but I never got much out of them. Session is the only timer app that I didn’t quit using after the 1st week. Great app with plenty of customization.
This might be my favorite productivity tool of all time.
I only just got this today, but I’ve done 3 pom sessions and Session keeps track. Saw it on a list of Pomodoro timer apps as a pricey option, but it’s so worth the small subscription price for all the customization and record-keeping functionality. As a busy mom with ADHD, it’s not just a timer, I also get records of what I do. Set a timer for cleaning, planning, writing, reading, knitting, napping - whatever *you* type in to the color-coded categories. How much time do I spend tidying up each week? Now I have a way to know!
This is the first time I leave review of any app and I absolutely love session! The only thing I want the app improve is that I wanna personalize times of deep breath to do before every session. Otherwise, all good!
I've had issues for years with task starting and sticking with it when it comes to studying for university exams. This seems to be doing the impossible, not only it motivates me but helps me stick to the session. Helps give me the feeling that I'm in charge of my time, organizing it, pushing the button when I'm ready to start... And the app is absolutely beautiful and follows the Apple design language.
Owning a MacBook is a blessing and a curse. Yes it does a lot of its jobs wonderfully, but it also allows me to open iMessage and chat to people and be distracted throughout the work day. I always enjoyed the pomodoro method throughout grad school, but what sets session apart is the simple interface and its app and website blocking. I would not be as productive an employee without it!
Basic features, such as dark mode, are locked behind a subscription. The app is great, but $50/year for a Pomodoro app is ridiculous.
