Excellent aap to improve your game will recommend for all budding players

Shredder can be used to analyse games on the go. The UI is excellent and the best in market. The only major improvements which needs to be done are to be able to see annotation and write annotation for games and also to load external games in PGN Format. Hope these improvements will b available in the future updates.

I love playing chess all my free time. I was looking for best chess app on my IP4S & Shredder chess is the by far far best chess app. I've tired Fritz & T-Chess pro as well, they are also great for chess lovers, but neither T-Chess / FRITZ can auto adjust the AI difficulty based on human play. Hoping to have a voice feature as well & tutorials like 1st /2nd/3rd/4th opening best move for white/black in near future. To conclude the above mentioned chess apps are GREAT , but SHREDDER is EPIC.

I love this app, have been using it for years. However, there has been a long standing problem with the way it calculates scores for puzzles. In particular, not all puzzles get included in the scoring. Sometimes you can play a few and the scores never get updated. Or sometimes you solve a few puzzles with the top score, but your average score actually goes down. I usually reset my score after every 100 puzzles, and so it’s not that hard to see whether it’s updating it and if it’s accurate. I’ll be happy to give it 5 stars if this gets fixed.

I have tried every one I could find sand nothing beats this. The puzzles it gives you to solve are great and if you think it is wrong and your solution is better it lets you convert the puzzle to challenge the computer and it's always right.

I believe this is my best purchase on a chess app on IOS. I spent $7.99 in Feb of 2013 for this and after 10 years and many IOS version updates Shredder chess still is my go-to chess app for puzzles, playing, and learning. 1000 puzzles is a lot, and the best thing is I can continue playing against the engine at the position where the puzzle is solved for endgame practice.

This app is defective on many levels eg - declares draws when clearly not the case. There was only the black king on the board with 3 white queens, white rook and White Castle and it declared a stalemate draw - advised me to take back a checkmate move - frequently offers poor suggested moves - doesn’t clearly show when you have been put in check - no explanation on puzzles The list goes on. Don’t waste your money like I did. Get something else

At the beginning of a game, the program works more or less at the preset playing strength. However, during the middle game it often pumps up its rating significantly (validated with Crafty). A player at a moderate 1600 should continue to play at this level until the end and not suddenly play flawlessly. This is particularly annoying during a Blitz chess game.

Can we have in a future update all the games from the chess champions from Murphy to Magnus

This is the best substitute I have found for other actual chess players; the difficulty scaling is great and give a good, surmountable challenge.
