ShredSpots: Find Skate Spots

Used to be user friendly. Now needs access to contacts. Still cannot get all the way in.

I love this app and have put in the work to make my local city as full to the brim as posssible with spots. I keep showing people it and all the work I’ve done and most of them are interested in getting it until they have to invite 5 friends. I’m trying to help grow this app but the app seems to be working against itself while seemingly trying to grow, hopefully this is fixed in the future.

Weird they need to access my contacts. Even when I tried it didn’t work. App used to work great and doesn’t function anymore.

Make you jump through all the hoops just to get in. Which I never did. You need access to my contacts? Why? And then I have to have five friends from my contacts invited just to get in? Your selling data

Annoying videos you can’t skip and forced to invite 5 people to even get thru to the actual app. Cool tho

They broke it you can’t even log in to ur account the phone activation thing doesn’t even work, I can’t even use this app anymore .

It’s fun to see friends footage on a spot you’re never been too. Makes spot hunting fun for me at least🤷🏽‍♂️ Big laggy and buggy but I faith the developers are passionate.

I had an account before but now it prompts me to add my phone number. After receiving a text and using the code, I get a message saying “uh-oh, something went wrong.” I can’t access the app anymore because closing it just brings me back to the phone number page.

this app used to be so awesome now i literally can’t use it. every time i open it this long video plays and it forces you to go in your contacts and invite 5 friends and it doesn’t even work and glitches. really sad, because i used to love this

This app overall is pretty good and gives some good incentives for posting spots and videos with a leaderboard. However in regions where other users don’t use the app this app becomes almost useless and might as well use google maps. However I have some suggestions I’d like to see that would also help make this app more useful even if you’re the only one in your area using it. 1. Allow saving spots into named collections that are shareable. This could allow me to find spots for a video part I want or make a collection. 2. Add an abd list that users can add YouTube clips or just list tricks pros have done there. 3. Make achievements like: post 10 public spots, share a video from 5 different spots, etc. 4. Make videos at spots searchable by trick names. 5. Be able to rate spots out of 1-5 stars and write reviews for the spot. 6. A way to hide spots that clutter up your map that you have no interest in.
