Wanted to get started on notating a piece in 5/16. However this is not possible on the mobile version. You can only choose between the most basic time signatures. This means, if you have a piece with changing time signatures, that are just a little less standard than 3/4 or 7/8 (or if you need to sub-group differently), you can’t use it. This seems like an easy fix: add an option to make your own time signature (like in the computer version). Until this happens I won’t be able to use the mobile version and get the most out of my subscription.

Nice with music notation software for ipad! But it still feels quite primitive for being a 2023 software. Some stuff needs to be right on hand for my workflow. I.e. Copy/paste function. You will find it and execute from a scroll down based search field..likewise with triplets and more. Not really intuitive for my use. Its also great with the guitar tab options but also rather limited. Basic up/down stroke signs and more is only available with monthly subscriptions. Though its not clear what is included in the mid pricy subscription or if you need the all included version to get get acces to certain features. The subscription business model is big a turn off for me..I like to have the option of paying upfront instead of being ”trapped” in a subscription model.

It’s a nice app as an addition to working on desktop! And a lot of things work quite well. But..... Why isn’t there a mode for writing freehand with your Apple Pencil to create notes (not musical notes but comments :)?? It would be nice to draw stuff and highlight passages with the use of apples build in drawing software. Also I can’t get the comment Command to work...

And now with the transpose feature one more star. Last star from me comes when we can import/export music xml and midi files:)

I’ so glad for the possibility to transpose. I’m also very much looking foreward to be able to import and export Music xml-files :-)

I really don’t hope that this bad ux is the way the future is going to look like. Maybe it was better if Avid focused on fixing Sibelius for computer, instead of throwing money on yet another failed attempt to convert for writing music on the iPad! This app is way too expensive and too tedious to use. I’ve deleted the app again. Back to the computer.
