Game itself isn’t that bad, fairly straight forward city builder. Visually very nice. However, countless times I’ve encountered a major problem in this game that straight up has made me uninstall. The game will randomly reset progress back to certain points. Sometimes it’s not too bad, however today I’ve had this displeasure of loosing 2 days worth of in game progress for no discernible reason and for that reason I’m done with this game. Don’t waste your time playing this until this stupid bug is fixed.
This is a very good and well put together game but they purposely limit the amount of resources, such as wood, you can gather. It isn’t an issue at first but after you play for a week or two it makes the game very frustrating. It’s all geared up to squeeze money out of the players. I’ve enjoyed playing but had enough now.
Take the epic Sierra game of Pharaoh, then ruin it. That’s what this is, it’s designed to frustrate you so you buy gems to speed the game up to make it playable. Five minutes playing then a few hours of waiting - it’s a cash-grab.
I have sent three emails to the developers and no reply. Was really enjoying the game until level 13. Can’t get anymore people as it says I have no room. I have lots of spaces. So I won’t even give it more than 1 star. Would avoid. Find another game.
It’s not a bad game, starts to get a bit samey after a while, will be leaving soon.
I love this game genuinely do but there is one issue. When i have room for new citizens for instance i have houses three houses 2/5 people and one 2/15 living there yet it isn’t letting me in i understand the devs most likely will ignore me or give me an automated message but it seriously spoils the game for me.
Been deliberating over this review more than any I’ve written because Sim Empire is a really really Good game I think, I feel like it has more potential than any sim city built it style game I’ve played in a few years but either the beta test went wrong or the devs had no choice to skip it completely, it has the ability and in parts proves that it does have a user friendly interface and menu system, but it dos t use it, a quick eg to find out if a property is available to upgrade you to have to click on each property individually. Not a problem at first but now I’ve over 1000 population and I’m only under level 20 so you see the problem here. Another issue is the very poor tutorial now I’m a gamer and as such played a lot of this style of game so I could work out what was what after a while but it wasn’t easy so a lot struggle which goes along way to explain the low rating. I do not think it’s getting the credit it deserves The game needs to decide if it’s an idle clicker or a immersive city simulator and they need to go back to the basic menu system for a tweak or too and make the game a bit more user friendly. Unlike many games of this genre this game no ads at all which is actually quite refreshing update so I’ve got a little further into the game and now have access to trade market feature which is exactly what it sounds like I can buy and sell after viewing the market prices and this feature really sets the game apart from a lot of games it adds a lot more depth and purpose to the game
So my son needed to build an Egypt civilisation for his homework and I thought this would be the perfect game. I paid for the Egyptian part. Great start, however we have now started it three times. Only once has it saved his progress. Now when we try and log in I can’t even get back into the Egyptian part without paying again! I’ve already paid once!
Once u hit a road block there is no help. Help is not even forthcoming on blogs about the game
