They want your $$$
I’ve been playing this pretty solidly for a few days and honestly you can barely survive without spending real money.

Look, you can probably scrounge around and spend five times longer in the game if you wanted to use it for free or at lower cost. But to really make the game worth playing it’s gonna cost you. Which is fine, you’ve got to run servers and there are always interesting upgrades, just the cost is WAY excessive for what you’re getting. Have loved SimCity since I was a kid, but the price point for everything could be halved and you guys would probably do a lot better. The recent train inclusion is cool, but is ridiculously overpriced.
So fun and so great I was so bored so I found this game to play. So it’s now my special friend game.
Can the next update add ships? And if you do I dare To let us design them any way we want with an infinite amount of space, will you? Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After 4 years of building my cities I’m done. The railways makes the game unplayable, requires TOO MANY MICROPAYMENTS NOW. You broke it; ahhhhhh EA, you never let a good game get in the way of money. Great game if you’re willing to drop $50-$100 a month on micro payments. You get zero kudos for the game, it’s unplayable now without a lot of money. I’ve paid for a lot of games since the 80’s, this is the WORST. Only for the rich, like everything else in life.
I really enjoyed this game. But it burns battery and after a while it got to the stage that I could only play for about 2 minutes before my iPhone 11 became so hot I couldn’t hold it. Had to delete the app.
You can download the game for free but if you want anything good you have to pay. Every game update seems to provide less and less free items. In addition to this, you can buy sim cash with real money, but once in game you can spend a thousand simcash in an instant without knowing as it’s built into the game - incredibly bad offers just pop up on screen - no confirmation button - direct debit of funds - no receipt- no refunds - no accountability. It’s a cash grab game.
Fun, relaxing and rewarding. I like the way watching adds or spending money is entirely optional, and the best things can only be bought from completing many small challenges. Many players seem to give up as the game progresses due to the increasing challenge and decreasing playability. I would suggest the following improvements. 1. A one week grace period on unlocking a new service. The residents could show a countdown warning, instead of abandoning a building for lack of the new service. 2. Add a button to remove bubbles for ten seconds. This would make it easier to select buildings or just admire the beauty of your city. 3. To make city layout easier; Display the ground space (eg 2x4) that a building requires when viewing what you can build. Return buildings from challenges to original locations. Parks not requiring road access. 4. Show if club members are online and make it easier to find a desired item to buy. Sought after items are often already sold by the time the trade screen loads and it’s very frustrating. 5. Add some variety to building effects. Why do all specialisation buildings only give a residential boost? For example; In mountains, Hydroelectric plants for power and Mines for speeding metal/mineral production. Farms speed seed/sugar/feed production or usage. Large forests speed wood production. Shopping centres for small boost to all commercial buildings. Petrochemical plants that pollute but boost chemical production and usage speed. 6. Could increase the variety and realism of buildings service and placement requirements. (This would increase the interest and challenge, but would probably need a grandfather clause to only effect new buildings) eg. Sewage outlets must be adjacent to water or beach. Commercial buildings require police coverage. All buildings require fire coverage. Commercial and industrial buildings require power and benefit from mass transit coverage.
Love this game usually but there a glitch. All my services (power, waste, water etc) are showing as not enough for my population and my towns happiness is down to 30%. This is regardless of having enough service buildings. I bought more just to be safe but it’s still saying my town doesn’t have enough services.
Game progresses terribly slowly. They try to extort money out of you for everything. Full of adds. Find something better
