Simionic G1000 (MFD)

Looks nice on the first look, but it doesn’t connect to Flight Simulator 2020. (There is absolutely NONE documentation about the setup on google or YouTube, even on the website)

Unable to create and store a simple flightplan for training purpose. For example: EDLE-BOT-DOMEG-DOR-EDLW Programm terminates itself.

I have 2 iPads for Pfd and mfd. all fine, one iPad Air 2 and iPad gen 6, connecting good to x-plane. G1000 running on the iPad, not in the sim plane. On one side is good, no FPS loss, flying with g1000 in aircraft which are not equipped with or use features like visionic where aircraft g1000 does not have. However it does not sync all with aircraft g1000. The good: very complete G1000 software close to original, visionic as addon. The bad: resolution of MFD terrain is bad. When flying low in mountain area then terrain visibility is bad, displays artefacts. Please higher resolution ! iPads in these days have high cpu power and storage. The ugly: sync to the aircraft is limited, autopilot must be pressed on the Simionic. Change to Nav, vor, gps, Alt, vs etc does not sync to aircraft G1000. Command is executed and aircraft behaves correct but is not reflecteded in aircraft G1000. No flight plan sync. No own navdata load possible. No possibility to load flight plan into iPad from external source. Please add more aircrafts ! Or at least post sceeenshots with the data to your web page.

The App looks promising but if you want two connect to a flightsim you will need a second iPad (!) and run the other app (PFD) there. This makes this App useless to me at this point. I can’t even use my iPhone as a second device nor is there another workaround at this point, wich is sad. Should have read the description more carefully though this information is somewhat hidden and should be pointed out!

Everything is very identical to the real thing. Very good. It is still annoying tho that you need to have 2 iPads and pay for the PFD app so you can make the aeroplane move on your MFD... Is it not possible to create a simple feature that makes the aeroplane move to the desired waypoints on the MFD alone? Regards from student pilot.

I have been using SIMIONICS Flight simulator products for the last two years. This product uses Bluetooth and WiFi technology to connect to X-Plane 11,12; P3D v5, and MSFS 2020 effortlessly. I am presently Beta testing the G1000 PFD and MFD NXi that will soon be available to the flight simulation general population. I also have used FlightSimGear products which will deliver your flight simulation immersion as well. I’m just super impressed on the technology behind the SIMIONICS panel products which allows me to duplicate my lessons after I leave the airport.

Wanted it to see if I can use the mixture. Was a waste of time and money wish I can return it and get my money back
