It’s a great recipe app except that there is virtually no support from the developer. I need to reset my password but am not receiving the email to make the change and have no alternative course to get help (except to come here and leave a mediocre review).
This has got to be one of my favorite apps.
I love this app. I’m SO thankful I came across it. As a huge foodie, mom, and overall busy person, this is the perfect way to organize my apps and doesn’t require much fuss. I could get lost in it for hours just adding all of my favorite recipes 🥰 I also love that I have the ability to customize each entry with the exact text and photos I want. It’s overall very simple and aesthetically pleasing. Anyone could use it! The only thing(s) I would suggest would be to have a “notifications” tab for when people follow you or like your posts. Also, I would love to have a search bar within my recipes. Even though we can make our own folders, it would still be most convenient to quickly type in keywords for what I’m looking for, such as “chicken” or “coconut,” and have the app search through my recipes for related results. I’ve just added so many that I can’t really keep track of it all! Lol
I love it when it works, but still does it work with about half of the websites that I’d like to use. Meanwhile they are developing the app, I’d at least like to have a feature that I can attach a recipe link to a recipe when I’m creating manually so that I can just copy and paste a recipe title and picture for easy access to the original website.
I added a recipe and I pressed preview but instead of showing me a preview it closed the app and NEVER saved
I love web recipes, but I loathe the ads. This app parses the recipes and leaves you with something you can use while you cook. No more closing pop-up windows and annoying videos. It could use a better way to create and add collections.
I’ve been wanting to make my own recipe app when I stumbled across this one on Reddit. I couldn’t have built a better app if I tried. I’ve used it for a few weeks now and I haven’t found a single thing that’s not intuitive and well designed. I’ve started recommending it to my friends and they all love it as well! Amazing app. I deeply appreciate that it’s free, with NO intrusive ads
In the beginning I was a little confused with how it works when you add recipes. When you click on “my recipes” they will all be listed in an “added by you” folder, then you scroll through what you’ve added. It would be more user friendly if each recipe was its own tile in that folder. Like when you view photos in an album.
‘Simmer Recipes’ is fantastic. I’m easily able to transport recipes I want to try online into this carefully organized, compact app. Only wish is that it becomes compatible for Android users so friends and family who don’t have iPhone products are able to utilize as well. The only way I cook now, great work!
