This was nice, I felt like it was gonna work and I was getting to my first song but it needed like a subscription to continue which always happens because when I find something good, there’s always a subscription in the way of that so I end up not learning anything and dropping guitar again. I guess that guitar’s gonna keep sitting in the corner for another year.

Is this app also for electric guitar or only acoustic

I’ve used yousician before and is far more concerned with theorical aspects and you algo get to enjoy what you are doing. This app lack of guidance, sometimes you are playing tunes without any real guidance, it would be nice to have always a video attached showing how it should sound so you have a reference. You can’t use this to learn and then play by yourself. I hardly believe someone learned with this app. Is a waste of money sadly I pay 1 year subscription. Is not even enjoyable as a game. Please don’t make my mistake and purchase.

This app is incredible! Recently, I wanted to learn to play the guitar. Like JoyTunes was reading my mind this app popped up while I was updating Simply Piano. I love this app! There’s one or two negative comments on here and I sort of get where they’re coming from, but this app shows real promise. I guess their main beef is that the app doesn’t have a whole lot of content yet. If you’re an intermediate player that may be the case. However, there’s plenty for a beginner to be getting on with and even intermediate players can find some aspects to help them develop. Maybe they have mainly used a pick and would like to try finger style, or vice-versa - then along with this. Maybe you don’t play along with actual tunes and in time. This will help. Maybe you haven’t bothered with tab. Again this will help develop the skill in a non-stressful, generally fun way. They have promised that they will be adding levels/courses to the app and I’ve already seen some evidence of this. As an intermediate player myself, there’s a couple of aspects to this that have helped sharpen up my basic guitar skills, and I look forward to the new material. The more guitar teaching and support apps, the better! Well done.
