Why are you guys down for maintenance

Pantry is a hot mess

I can’t tell if this works or not because I quit entering things into my pantry. It seems like the developers just uploaded every recipe they could get their hands on and ingredients into the database without then sorting it to make sure there were no duplicates. For example: in the oils section, it gives options like cooking spray, olive oil spray, canola oil spray, and oil spray. Why does that need 4 different options? This seriously needs to be cleaned out. And for pity’s sake, ALPHABETIZE the pantry options, please!?

It seems to work

I’ve tried a half dozen or more apps that profess to suggest recipes based on what’s on hand. After laboriously entering the ingredients most apps give useless ideas, if anything. This actually worked. The task of filling out my pantry was amusing when I was asked about every kind of oil, milk, and nut or grain liquids posing as “milk.” I finally said yes to all of them since I can decide what to use when necessary. Cooks who can't deal with substitutions are needlessly limiting themselves.
