SJ - Trains in Sweden

In Norway. Everything is very confused, but it seems like SJ have won a contract to run trains from Oslo to Tronshrimps, but the SJ app just comes up saying “route unavailable”. There is no separate app for SJ Nord on the App Store.

The only problem we encountered was the amount of time before release of the next block of tickets. I was aware that this is outside SJ jurisdiction (and is not their fault at all) and is due to track work constraints however the tickets on the day we needed to travel were released 2 days before I was about to book a flight. That aside we had no complaints at all with the service provided in the First Class carriage. I recommend anyone contemplating travelling between Copenhagen and Stockholm (or vice versa) travel on the SJ train. In first Class free breakfast is provided if you travel before 0900 while tea and coffee making facilities are available in the 1st Class carriage anytime. Lunch can also be ordered (extra I think) or use the Bistro Carriage. The seats are really comfortable and there is plenty of room. The price - well I was very surprised as it was less than I expected! I have no hesitation in recommending travelling with SJ - plus lots of great scenery to see.

COULD NOT SEE WHY AND IT GAVE NO REASON?

I was frightened that cancelling our tickets because of Denmark's border closure) would take a while. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be and if I get the money back in six business days it will be great. I have had previous dealings with you and the service is first class. Thanks.

I understand it's an app for Swedish trains in Sweden but I can't possibly understand why it isn't available in English, especially when downloaded from the Australian app store. Swedish people all speak great English so having the app developers add English translations would have been so simple! Otherwise the app looks nicely designed. I just have to hope I book the correct trains with the app.

Sedan det nya bokningasystemet togs i drift är bokningarna omständiga och kräver många flera steg. Det går inte längre att boka en specifik sovplats eller vagn längre, utan man tilldelas en slumpvis utvald plats. Om man har årskort går det inte att lägga till medföljande till en befintlig biljett, trots att tillägg av medföljande ingår i årskortet. Skälet är att appen skiljer på 1:a klass sovvagn för en eller två personer, trots att det är samma sovvagn (alla 1:a klass sovvagnar har två platser, sedan är frågan hur många som det bokas för) får man med årskort guld endast boka sovvagnskupen för en person, men för att kunna lägga till medföjlande krävs två bädds 1:a klass kupé, men den får man inte boka. Inte ens kundtjänsten kan åtgärda detta. Gör om - gör rätt - fixa buggarna i systemet.

Jag har aldrig upplevt en app med bättre UI. SJ-appen är helt perfekt enligt mig. Allt fungerar och appen är väldigt intuitivt konstruerad och designad

I det nya systemet går det inte att boka plats för djur. Påpekat för er kundtjänst flera gånger, men får bara svaret att ”det ska gå”.

Nu kan man inte längre spara kortuppgifter i appen, och inte lägga till sin biljett i Apple Wallet. Oklart vad det nya systemet tillförde?

I nyligen uppdaterat appen, har SJ tagit bort möjligheten att filtrera för bara SJ tåg. Gör det mycket svårare att hitta resan. Om jag vill resa med en annan operatör ska jag inte boka med SJ…
