unfortunately, macro function of new iPhones were not supported. I really don’t understand this, because for me this function of the iPhone was the main feature.

Good example why research dataset trained models do not work on data from real devices because the models are not made to handle domain shift (lighting, camera, skin color), noise or counteract the dataset bias. Without flash it predicts mole 90% confident. With flash it predicts 90% cancer. At least its good advertisement for dermatologists, mine certainly had a good laugh when he tried this. At the very least, this needs an attribution (XAI) view so the user can turn of when the model detects hairs as features of a dark melanoma. The attention map should be post editable, or as skinvision does it, the problem are should be detected first. If they ran XAI on this model before deployment, they would have realized this.

It lets you take a picture of a lesion and manually compare the picture to pictures of skin issues found on the internet. It does not use AI to evaluate the risk of you lesion.

Skin check is an app that I’ve loved using for 3 years now! Watching it grow into a full company has been amazing because I’ve believed in the vision! Keep up the hard work because me and my father who has skin cancer love to check in weekly to see when he needs to get it removed!

Even though my region is US so I couldn't fully use a diagnosis function I still found the AI detection and follow up options really helpful!

My sister has developed several moles that looked concerning to us, before we were able to seek a dermatologist’s opinion. That’s when we heard about Skin Check, and downloaded looking for answers. She had 8 moles at the time that looked concerning and the app flagged several of them. After waiting several weeks for an appointment, the dermatologist confirmed the exact moles that Skin Check had shown were concerning and we were able to get them removed. Would highly recommend using if you are worried about a skin spot that looks odd. It is accurate!

Super easy to use, reliable, and clean interface! Multiple people I know have detected truly dangerous moles with this app. I would gladly pay for this app. Thank you!

Now I know my moles are not cancer :)
