With SkinScreener we have developed an innovative solution to detect the personal risk of skin cancer at an early stage. Clinically tested and approved as a medical device.
Early detection, as studies show, is critical to successful treatment. According to statistics, one in every five people will develop skin cancer at some point in their lives. Along with regular dermatological exams, our app allows you to quickly and easily identify suspicious areas of skin and provides a smart way to determine your risk of skin cancer.
SkinScreener achieves an impressive 95% clinical accuracy in detecting skin cancer, thanks to a clinical study with over 1500 images of real patients at the Medical University of Graz. SkinScreener is MDR-certified as a class IIa medical device and is built on an ISO 13485 quality management system.

In detail, how does SkinScreener work for you?
Inspect your skin for any unusual markings and use the camera to focus on the area of concern.
Please maintain a stable position of the phone for 3 to 5 seconds after focusing on a spot.
Upon successful focus of the image, the app will initiate automatic scanning and progressing.
Our clinically proven neural network then guides the scan.
You get the result right away. An easy-to-understand three-color code indicates the risk of skin cancer (Green indicates low risk, Yellow indicates a medium risk, Red indicates a high risk).

Notes on how to use SkinScreener:
SkinScreener is intended for adult users with Fitzpatrick skin types I (ivory) to IV (light brown). SkinScreener should not be applied to children.
Prior to registration, a free scan is provided. Additional scans or offers with unlimited scans for one month or one year are available as a paid add-on service.
We take data security very seriously! The information is only stored on European servers and in accordance with the EU Data Protection Directive (DSGVO). Your images will only be stored anonymously on our servers and used to improve our app and conduct research.
A dermatological examination cannot be replaced by SkinScreener. SkinScreener does not diagnose and is not a replacement for regular visits to your dermatologist.
