This is by far the best app I’ve ever used for social interaction, it forces you to put time into your messages, leading to far more meaningful conversations. The way you find new friends is well thought out, letting you find people you’re more likely to enjoy engaging with. I do wish that it was more open to genderfluid people, allowing you to change your gender as much as you want, and only limiting nicknames changes.

Unusable app. Waste of my time to download and try it out when it doesn’t even let me sign up. Do not waste your time on this app.

It should not be that hard to write a letter. You have to have 40 words, but they don’t tell you when you have 40 words so I had to keep counting. You shouldn’t even have to have 40 words because people have short attention spans. Had I known it would be that difficult to write a letter I wouldn’t have downloaded the app. You’re encouraged to be fake just like social media, this is basically just slow social media, slower than forums.

I stumbled on this app, quite accidentally, but I’m so glad I did! I don’t usually review apps, but this app is worthy of it! I use the app all the time. In today’s era of fast paced messaging and instant gratification, one would think that having to practice patience in waiting when corresponding would quickly become annoying. I thought this at first, but I was wrong. The suspense of waiting for letters is totally worth it! It’s like the excitement of expecting mail, only digitally… It really gives me something to look forward to everyday! After filling out a simple profile, I waited for letters, and I wasn’t disappointed! I already received at least 3, in the few days after downloading the app. :D I like how the app has simple avatars, and how you can select topics of interest, so you can match up with people who have things in common. There are so many diverse profiles! As for the app forcing people to make purchases to enjoy it, I found that I was really able to enjoy it without have to purchase their plan. Most of the app is free, and easy to use. Another feature I like, is the open letters. Every day, you get 3 free letters from around the world to peruse (a subscription grants access to more). People also have the option to write bios on their profile. Those are always fun to read, and really help you choose people to send letters to, if your expectations in pen-palling match :) All in all, this really is an amazing app. I will be using it, maybe even more than my other social media apps. I highly recommend it!

Pretty much the title, the app’s good but has lots of paid features ALSO I just wanted to let the devs know that there’s a bug(?) where if you have two languages enabled, you can receive the same letter translated between those languages sent from the same person (In the open letters section). This probably just happens because that person has a good match of a bio, and so it gives you the same letter twice because it wants to get the best match. Just wanted to let y'all know!

As far as I can remember, I don’t think I’ve ever left a review on an app before because truth be told, there aren’t many that I feel actually benefit my life. I downloaded this as a latch ditch effort to try and find some semblance of community before giving up completely and living as a hermit for eternity. I can honestly say that I’ve never felt more seen, heard, and understood than with the few genuine and meaningful relationships I’ve made on here. I didn’t know other people existed in the world who, like me, can only speak in paragraphs and who feel and love deeply through language. If you’re feeling alone and need genuine community and your church, family, and surface level friendships seem lackluster, give it a shot, it might be a rough start, but there are people out there like you!

I love this app. I’ve met some great people on here. Suddenly now I get a JSON Parse error: unexpected character:< error and it won’t let me log back in anymore.
