Slumber: Fall Asleep, Insomnia

The application is good value for money but it doesn’t connect with iPhone Siri and focus mode (like headspace are doing for example).

I love the sleepy bookshelf, so I tried the free trial of this app for a long trip in which I needed to sleep on several airplanes. Plus hotel sleep is never good, I rely on the sleepy bookshelf in hotels for great sleep! But this app, what?? It’s so expensive and there’s no sleep timer. A paid app should basically be perfect. How can an app designed for listening for sleep not have a sleep timer? Or a queue/playlist. You can either listen to one episode, or one whole book. Why not have a queue so I can line up a few chapters of a book? Or a few random episodes? Some sound great by the description but I’m never going to choose one that’s 20 min, bc what if I’m not asleep yet? I have to turn on my bright phone and go searching for another one to listen to. Listening to chapter 2 of A Christmas carol and fall asleep? Good luck finding chapter 3, you have to type it in the search. It should just pop up as your next listen. Honestly it’s s mind boggling how user unfriendly this app is. Will not be purchasing after the trial expires.

This app is amazing coming from a person with insomnia. Although, the premium is quite expensive and annoying. But overall, I recommend it with all my heart. Thank you slumber. <3

I didn’t want to pay a yearly subscription, so I opted for the lifetime membership of $250 many many years ago. I love it and so glad I did. It’s the only sleep app I ever use.

Having a bedtime ritual/routine helps let your brain stop grinding the day and transition into sleep—be consistent and predictable with your routine! I start transitioning about an hour before bedtime…low light, shower, no screens etc. This app is a perfect supplement to the routine and I am asleep within moments…kind of a bummer because i never get far into the stories—I usually ‘enter a beautiful realm within my imagination’ and then I’m gone…it is that quick and simple. The readers are soothing and calming and they paint you a world with their words. If you go with the music and/or sound option, your brain has something to focus on rather than processing the day. Shut down and get some sleep—I so wish I had this app during vet school…now with a very busy private practice where I have a tendency to rethink the cases of the day…I am grateful for this app! Thank you.

This app is amazing. I listen to these stories, and they always help me relax and allow me to fall asleep quickly. They are very calming and soothing! I highly recommend!!!
