My favorite Go App
SmartGo has been my favorite app of Go on iOS for many years, and the current form of the app is the best version yet. I love the UI, the integrated Books, puzzles, and the steady stream of new Pro games.

I write mobile apps for a living and this app is beautifully designed and executed. As a newbie to Go I can’t say enough good things about how valuable this app is. I’m going to upgrade just to support the author. Jesse Liberty
Simply the best. Really useful for recording live games for analysis later.
Any move on C9 is considered illegal by smartGo.
This is one of the few good go apps. If you play go I would definitely recommend it
Best I’ve found for iOS very mature. The book store is great addition to the package.
They let you download the epubs of things you have purchased so you can use them on Android devices. I use them on an eink device. (It’s a pimp Boox). This is an honest company that actually cares about Go education. Great software.
Go is the most difficult game I have tried to learn. The “Elementary” lessons on SmartGo are very helpful.
Very good go learning software, I hope everyone bucket a support it, I learned a lot of things from this software.
I’m a long-time SmartGo Kifu user, and for most of my purposes, the new app is just a bit less smooth and reliable. For problems in particular, text above the board occasionally overflows the screen, more problems have little or no explanatory text, a few incorrectly mark equally correct moves incorrect. I understand the reasoning behind the new app, and I don’t begrudge the author a steadier revenue stream, but the new version still isn’t quite up to par with its predecessor.
