Good idea, poor implementation
I just had quite an annoying experience with it. Visiting Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Purchased the guide at the site. Downloaded around 140 mbs of data. First of all it doesn’t explain you how guide works or starts at all. So i have been searching for a ‘start tour’ button or something like that. After 20 mins i just got so frustrated and gave up on that and started walking by myself. When i arrived to the first attraction point app starts guiding me automatically which is nice but i haven’t been told about it. Anyway, one of the most impressive temple and largest religios site in the world is explained in few minutes with wikipedia information? I wasn’t expecting that. When you pay for a guide you expect more unique content, at least i do. I keep walking around, internet connection is poor but i downloded the guide so i should be able to use it offline, right? Thats what i thought but no. It doesn’t work. At this point i just turn off the app and thought that it was one of the worst 10$ purchase i have ever made. Idea is good and open to development but right now it is just a beta app that shouldn’t be on sale. Don’t pay for it, at least for wat angkor. Maybe they offer better guiding in other historical sites.
