SmartPlant: Plants Made Simple

Only thing it says is „plant info is coming soon“ for EVERY plant, I don’t get the matter of this app, only a few plants, no library and no use case right now, very disappointing

Used to use this, great concept. However now the app just crashes all the time, updated and the same thing happens…

This app was looking so promising: had everything I was looking for in terms of care advice and reminders. But this morning the navigation bar disappeared so I can’t access anything except adding a plant or my profile settings. It also didn’t recognise/load my attempt to add a monthly subscription (App Store says the purchase / free trial is active). I tried emailing all *three* different addresses provided for support, and all of them returned a delivery failure message. I’m writing this review in the hopes a dev will see it and fix the problems because this was looking like such a great little app!!

This app worked great for me for around a year. Now I can’t do anything on it. The app opens but any option I click on just crashes the app immediately. It’s frustrating as I had all of the my plants listed in there but can’t even access the info now to make a note of it elsewhere before deleting the app. Really pleased I spent money on it for a year and took time logging all my plants, not!

Downloaded the app and used up my 2 credits so I have decided to go premium as I liked the idea of how the app works (not great by any means but ok for one) and thought it was genuine as the app was recommended on the plant I have purchased in a well known shop. What a mistake! I have paid for premium (money has gone out of my account) but the app did not do anything and still just told me go premium! So I decided to email 3 of their email addresses but they all had a bounce back. Massive scam!

i don’t know if this is an error with my phone but the app didn’t work for me, i signed in and i clicked to scan my plant and it just would not let me. I’ve deleted the app, refreshed my phone and still nothing 🤷‍♀️

It doesn’t find the plan when u scan the barcode and even when you search the name still can’t find the right plant also doesn’t tell you how to look after it

I’ve loved having Smartplant and have paid the subscription for at least a year . Now, every time I try and use it it crashes and I am left looking at my iPhone menu page . I can’t even access the plants already identified. I have deleted and reinstalled app . No luck . I’ve cancelled my subscription.

I upgraded my account to premium, paid for a year but they never upgraded my account. I thought it might take a few days to update…. Still nothing. I tried to contact them via their support emails provided, the emails bounced back. Unfortunately a waste of money.

Once I downloaded the app and created an account, I tried using the barcode scanner to add my plants that I had bought, however they never showed up as being added into the app, after then trying on a different device it still didn’t work. It was also not something I would have thought to have to purchase a subscription for just to add the plants on. I personally wouldn’t bother with this app if you are looking for an app to help keep on top of your plants.
