Smash Road: Wanted 2 is an improvement to its predecessor in pretty much every way, following the simplistic formula of the first game, that being a perilous escape from an increasingly irritated police force (and eventually aliens for some reason?). The game features a charming yet derivative voxel style popularised by Crossy Road. Players can unlock various assortments of cars in the luck based rewards system, with each new roll costing 100 in-game currency, which is slow to earn by regular means, and you will mostly need to result to rewards from achievements or in game purchases to gather a significant amount of cash. There is a significant assortment of cars and characters, each with a different degree of usefulness. The breadth of unlockables will leave the average player satisfied, and duplicates award the players with toolboxes that can be used to either upgrade their vehicles and characters or respray their vehicles. All and all a well rounded system, if a bit hollow give that some items are just better performing from the get go and can’t be upgraded enough to even compensate for it. This combined with a few bugs and unoriginal style might be a dealbreaker for some. But as far as mobile games go, this is competent enough to leave most people entertained.
