This app is great, however it could be even BETTER. There is a bug in the app that is a bit frustrating and it causes the previous song to keep playing over the current one you try to play and sometimes even causing the current song not to play at all. But the function and foundation you have built could be promising, it just needs some revamping and care. This could be bigger than recz

Finding new genres is blocked behind a subscription paywall.

The developers really know what they’re doing. I love how the first song immediately opened in Spotify when I clicked the thumbnail and then from there you could open Spotify and read the lyrics, track info, etc. It only took 3 songs to find my new obsession lol. It’s really easy to pin your favourite playlists to the main screen so you don’t have to search for it, and the “like” button does exactly like Spotify while also adding it to the app’s algorithm. One bug I did notice though is if you return to the app after leaving it, returning to it will start a new song. So if you leave the app and like the song, don’t return to the app. You’ll have to add the song to playlists like you normally do in Spotify, however, so it makes the app’s unique features go to waste. I find it’s best to use Smores when you know you don’t need to use your phone for much else. That’s the only reason I left 4 stars instead of five. To the dev’s: I recommend a lyrics function within the app as I always read lyrics while listening to a song. I also think an option to start a song right at the beginning would be a nice setting — I’m the kind of person who normally doesn’t vibe with songs unless I’ve heard it from the start. Don’t get me wrong - you already gave me 3 new liked songs within the first 15 minutes of using the app, but an option to toggle that off would make this even better for me. Other than that, hats off!

I love discovering new music.. was this app made for me? Answer: yes … yes it was Only small thing is on my iPhone 11 the genre list only goes down so far so I can’t select genres from the bottom of the list. But overall the concept is fantastic!

Scrolling through long random playlists to find songs can be a bit annoying, especially when you have to manually skip parts of the songs to determine whether you like them or not. This is a fantastic solution to building new playlists without the overwhelming feeling of having “too many options”. Love the concept

Love the app and have found a lot of great songs! I do wish there was an option to listen to full songs rather than just snippets.
