Great for extracting the best Frame from Video
I have not used Snapmotion to its full but 2 places where I have found it to be very useful are when working with iPhone Slo Mo videos and LIVE photos. In Mac Photos if you export a LIVE photo using the unmodified option you end up with 2 files. One is a .JPG and the other is a short .MOV file. I then open this .MOV file up in SnapMotion and can then choose the best frame from the video. This is often better than the frame the iPhone selects. I also us SnapMotion to extract videos from Slo Mo iPhone videos and got an amazing shot of a field Gun going off at Edinburgh Castle. Also used the same process to capture gunshots at re-enactment events. Quality of extracted videos frames is good and I am very pleased with how easy it is to extract Frames. I have used it with DJI Phantom, DJI OSMO, GoPro Hero4 and iPhone videos and have had no problems extracting individual frames, or a series of Frames. I had a problem when using Mac OSX Beta Seirra and emailed the Deveoper who replied promptly. An updated version was released in time for Sierra going public and this appaers to work fine. I look forward to exploring SnapMotion more, but straighway it has proved a worthwhile investment.
