Sniffspot - Private Dog Parks

The conversion fees are killing me to rent spots in Canada. If you’re going to offer this awesome service, don’t punish your Canadian users.

Experience with the rental was fantastic. Billing with Sniffspot however has been extremely difficult and we are concerned it may be a scam. We purchased a monthly membership but each time we booked our membership-hours we were charged more fees. The app bills in USD, so the exchange rate must be accounted for, however, ignoring exchange, in December we we charged $68.30 USD to our credit card for a $54 USD membership. In January they have already billed us two transactions and it’s only Jan 1. We aren’t getting adequate support from Sniffspot and they do not seem to understand their own billing. We highly suggest not purchasing memberships and paying more for non member rentals if you plan to use this app.

Honestly lending or borrowing someone’s backyard to strangers’ dogs are neither desirable thing to do… It was a bad experience.

If Erin S. had just canceled the booking at the beginning, then she might have my respect. Instead she admitted me & my dogs into a FLEA INFESTED yard, then afterwards made slanderous accusations about me instead of taking accountability for her incompetence & laziness. And now my dogs have giant fleas, each the size of a grain of rice!!! After my complaint Sniffspot tried to shut down the listing, but Erin S. just easily made a new one & is now texting rude comments to me.

Honestly I feel like the app was better in the beginning even though there was less options . A lot of shady bookings , including guest and dogs that were not suppose to be there. Also there’s a glitch on app that auto books you. I was trying to type in code given and it reserved spot. Not the first time it happens. Just more conscious/careful while clicking selections and it still happened. Then you get a warning taking about how often you switch reservations…that you didn’t book

I have a subscription to a certain yard and the yard became unavailable, but Sniffspot says that unless I use the hours at the yard that is unavailable within the month I will lose it. Trying to get a hold of someone from Sniffspot is virtually impossible. I’m going to have to contact my bankwith this ridiculousness. It’s a great concept. Unfortunately this company does not seem to be trustworthy enough to deal with.

Not having a yard for my highly energetic dog to run around in, Sniffspot is the best thing to happen to us. My dog needs to run and get the zoomies out or he turns into an adorable little monster at night. Having a Sniffspot for him to play in really helps a lot. Thanks for being there, Sniffspot!!

I just think the app can use some fine tuning. I am still unsure why all the payment methods I tried would not go through (I verified all accounts), then the app wouldn’t let me back out or resubmit. I had to close the app completely before trying again (did 3times). If you need to fully flesh out your profile before booking, that’s fine. But the app should lead you through and make that a requirement.

The area is safely fenced with so many toys for the dogs, water, chairs…all great accommodations for dogs and their humans.

We love this place. It’s always clean and provides fresh water for our dog. There’s lots of room to run and explore and shade when our pug needs to rest. We’ll definitely be back. 🐕🤗
