Snipd is definitely the best podcast app I’ve ever used, and I’ve been listening to podcasts for more than a decade: 👏🏻 “Guests” lets me follow my favourite authors, bloggers and thinkers and discover their best podcast appearances 👏🏻 Bookmarks or ”Snips” let ne save and organize my knowledge base of audio bookmarks that are also transcribed and searchable 👏🏻 Automatic chaptering and highlighting the best parts makes it easier to get to the best parts when I’m short on time Snipd is such a great investment for me!

I really like this app. I love to learn new stuff and don’t have time to listen to long podcasts. This app is a game-changer! I seriously recommend it! It breaks down episodes into chapters so you can jump straight to the part that interests you, then you just snip the piece you like and that’s it. I have a friend that also likes this format so we easily share the content we liked and can discuss it the next time we talk. Instead of a book club we have a snipd podcast club 🤩

Edit many months later: please for the love of all that is holy, allow us to select, delete, and manage snips in bulk! Since my initial review it’s now more work to delete a snip, it now takes 5 TAPS to delete ONE snip. I want all my snips gone after exporting, to avoid any mix up or confusion in the future. I don’t need them on the app anymore, I imagine most people don’t after exporting them. I’m not sure what the creators expect us to do with our snips on the app, but I’m not adding tags, categorizing them, or searching through my podcast app for references. That’ll be done on note apps made for that type of thing later. I want to capture the notes on snipd, then bulk export them once a month. So why is it such an incredible hassle to delete snips? Ideally it should offer to automatically delete whatever you export, but in addition an ability to manage snips in bulk is a basic no brainer, this is my only gripe with the app, but it’s a big one. I don’t mind that I can only use ai notes for 2 podcasts/wk without paying, just PLEASE help us manage snips better without sitting there and deleting them individually for 10 minutes. Amazing execution and useful features, thanks for this app. My only dislike so far is that exporting snips to the Obsidian app is a mess. Even if I only select “Transcript” to export, I get a new title header, podcast artwork, snip header, timestamp, full podcast audio clip, THEN the transcript that I have to click to expand, with a mess of block quotes and summary formatting around it, THEN the “created with Snipd” tagline, when all I’m wanting is the transcript text. So it’s currently a hassle to delete so much around every snip import. Also I can play podcasts on a 2020 RAV4 audio screen (Bluetooth connection), but it won’t let me pause the the podcasts on the same interface.

I really liked the old for you feed. It made discovering popular snippets easier. The Card UI was great.

Could you consider adding more functionality to the widgets, such as displaying the episode I’m currently listening to? This would make it more convenient to track directly from the Home Screen. Additionally, it would be great if you could include Chinese Language in the AI feature.

App is broadly fine, but the snipping function is very inconsistent with individually curated audio clips. Can chuckle at the irony, but annoying for the price point.
