Players abandoning games leaving you unable to cancel. Inappropriate communication from app developers regarding access and accounts.

Wonderful App enabling Chess lovers from all over the world to play and communicate. Edit I came to use the App yesterday after a gap and find that I cannot play rated games without further payment on an already paid for App. The developer has yet to reply to my message.

5 seconds to move my king in the check position, dominated most games only to lose to that, utter unrealistic nonsense!!

I have tried countless times to purchase 1 year membership but the link on the app does not respond. I sent a message to the app contact people and they said that they have not had this issue and it should work. They also said that I could upgrade through their website but I can only see a link to the app store on their website. Am I the only one having this issue?

I have been playing SocialChess for years with no major issues other than a few dodgy people using the chat facility too much between moves. If it was particularly bad I just deleted the game. There was nothing I couldn’t handle. The interface was good and I liked the app. However, this week I opened the app to make a move and it had logged me out. Which was odd as I leave it there open ready for play. I tried to log back in but it wouldn’t let me. I contacted the app feedback email and received a rude message saying my ‘account had predatory behaviour’ and it will never be reinstated and is permanent! Well this is all news to me! Years of building up my chess score, archives of games and list of chess people that I like to play against- all gone. Just like that. For no reason. No prior warning of this weird mistake, no ‘Dear madam’, no formal sign off, no reply to follow up emails. If this app has been hacked then this kind of rudeness might be understandable but if it has not I expect a reply and apology.

Terrible interface, ugly animations and looks like no effort put in. Chess.com so much better.

… just because every time I win I tell my opponent I am Thanos and that I am inevitable… and now they ban me for 70 hours for ‘abuse’. No fair guys. Still… I am inevitable.

This is a great app, absolutely loving it, Please bring back the ability to dismiss pop up notifications by tapping in background area instead of dismiss 👍😊
