The one sound that I like was changed to a Pro version a couple years ago (in a car with rain and thunder). I tried to find other thunderstorm sounds on different apps but they all sounded so fake or there was an obvious loop which annoys me. I ended up caving and spending the 19.99 to unlock the pro versions but the only one I like is the thunderstorm is the specific one mentioned above. Which REALLY irritates me. All of the other thunderstorm sounds have really loud cracks of thunder which is not relaxing at all. Most of the other sounds are more higher pitches. I like low deep sounds to relax me. I’d like to request bringing in ocean waves more deep sounding and more than just a little wave. Same with the waterfall. It’s too weak sounding and high pitched.
Similar to a few other reviewers, I received the full edition of this app for free. However, I wouldn’t let that detract from a good app. While this app isn’t as well known as others like Rainy Mood or similar options. This developer has put in the effort and has made a feature rich product. As of the time of this review there are 38 choices for sounds ranging from plain white noise to heavy rain on a car. There are currently 26 pro version exclusive sounds so you get 12 free right off the bat. One of my favorite things though is the app isn’t intrusive with ads or other pop ups. There is a singular pop up when you start the app to notify you about the pro version but it doesn’t harass you like some other similar free apps. The other great thing? The developer is active on Reddit and is very good about taking suggestions about their apps. I suggested having an option to have the sounds as a wake up alarm instead of only having just a sleep timer and they responded saying they will look into it and try to add it as a feature. Most other apps have no way to suggest features and would never imagine taking real feedback. The update history shows the developer also hasn’t just abandoned the product either. All in all, I like the app and appreciate the developer’s attitude.
Full disclosure: The developer gave me a promo code for the lifetime plan. Tl;Dr: This is a prettying good rain sound app. This app has some really cool features to it. -You can change the volume within each set of sounds. Say you want to listen to rain in the forest. You can turn the rain up and the animal sounds down or vise versa. That to me is very cool because sometimes it’s nice to have just a bit of other noise with the rain - It has a timer that’s separate from the timer on your device - I haven’t personally used it, but there is an option to have the sounds playing over other apps. I imagine you could use this to have rain playing while you listen to music maybe. - There's actually a pretty wide selection of different sound sets from rain in a jungle to sitting in Cafe with people to hearing the sound of an open fridge. Whether you like rain or white noise, you'll find something to listen to. Now, this isn't to say that this app is perfect. There is one flaw, that for me at least, is kind of a big one. The thunder sounds like it's recorded at a lower quality. I have tried other rain sound apps and have enjoyed the thunder with those. Though I typically don't care for the rain sounds. With this app I was really hoping for nice rumbling thunder, when unfortunately you tend to get some blown out crashing sound. With that said, I still think this is a solid sounds app. I'm currently listening to the Cabin in the Woods set with the rain up and wildlife down just a bit and think it's fantastic. If you're looking for a sound app, this one is definitely worth the download.
Deep Sleep 3D has an amazing selection of natural sounds, an outstanding UI along with being fun and easy to use!!! My favorite sound is “Restaurant”👂🏼!!! I’ve tried several ambient sound apps and Deep Sleep 3D is the Best 🎁
Sound quality is at it's best! Loved the surround effects. Unlike many other similar apps , as they claim, this app is actually loud enough to mix with my music!
Disclosure: I was provided free lifetime premium access by the developer. He asked me if I’d write a review though he didn’t ask me to say anything. This is a really well thought-out and implemented app in a crowded space. I’ve tried many of the other offerings but I think I’m going to keep using this for a few reasons: 1) It lets you play other stuff at the same time. 2) It lets you change the relative volumes of the pieces of the sounds 3) It lets you change the volume of the sounds relative to whatever’s playing 4) It lets you set a sleep timer separate from sleep timers for whatever else is playing It’s a simple app, but it works well and it looks nice.
Great app, has a wide variety of sounds(especially the sailing sounds which most apps don’t have), and the option to mix in with audio from other apps which is a huge plus. Will be using this every night
App allows you to mix the individual elements of the soundscape which is very helpful. Listened with amped sen 6xx and even with their limited soundstage the immersive 3D was very pronounced. Sleep timer and ability to mix / isolate with / from the rest of the iOS sounds is a huge plus.
I just put my iPad on the bed stand and wonder into a magical land of birds and streams. The quality and variety are amazing. Gracias my dudes!
