Appealing Sounds
This is a great app. Natural sounds for all occasions. Beautifully recorded. Ideal to block out the world, improves focus and concentration when required but a soundscape is available for all moods and needs. Great for the commute

There are some very good, long soundscapes that sound great. Unfortunately there are also far too many short soundscapes, which are of limited use (e.g. 5-10 minutes). Since there is no looping, they simply come to an end. There are also several sounds that have only novelty or curiosity value (e.g. music performed by a chicken!). The foundations are here to build something really good (e.g. the tagging and categorisations of sounds make it easy to find and explore stuff), but there needs to be a firmer editorial hand on the consistency and style of content.
I’m a big fan of ambient sound apps and content. There are some great apps out there both paid and free, but they mainly focus on loops, with content bought and not credited - there’s nothing wrong with this, and apps like Portal have proven this concept can be done well. However, this app has got to be the best for understanding created content. Along with profiles of the sound designers, you also have that feeling of experiencing travel alongside them. There’s more of a story here and as a listener I appreciate it. The only thing I would change is the pricing plan. I don’t mind that the content is behind a paywall but I’d much rather buy a lifetime pass than pay monthly or yearly. Saying that, yearly is currently cheap and feels like a worthy purchase if you use these apps as much as I do. As soon as my 4 day trial expires, I plan on purchasing.
I don’t object to paying developers and artists, but the library is pretty limited for the fee and it’s an “all of nothing” subscription. Why not have a lite version with some free sounds like Calm? This forces you into a 30 day trial after a few days and then into a paid sub to access anything. The need to force me into a trial and sub puts me off. I have plenty of apps that are just as good, so I’m afraid this is now deleted.
Objective reality is made of layers... experiencing sounds which are relaxing and natural superimposed to the everyday grind, especially during CoVid restrictions, is indescribable...
The sound maintains originality with no looping. Excellent quality and well engineered balance, It is just there, in the background, noticeable without being distracting, measured to provide the perfect dose. Perhaps my favourite aspects are that the app has its own volume control, as well as a gentle fade out rather than an abrupt shut off when a track is stopped before end. This is a delightful attention to detail.
Although I haven’t been able to use this app to its fullest extent, just yet, I find it find it and it’s possibilities truly exciting, thank you I can’t wait until I have used and explored this app to it’s fullest potential. Andrew O
You have to subscribe and pay. There are plenty of free apps with no time limit.
Amidst all the noise and chaos of this present situation... A gentle reminder that God is in control... of all nature and, indeed all of us. Praise The Lord. The victory is his, rest assured.
