Sparrow - Golf

I’ll start by saying I had high hopes for this app. It is very well rated and looks like it has huge potential to help golfers improve. I initiated the free trial and loaded this onto my iPhone 13. I selected the option to record a swing. It shows an outline of a golfer either from different selectable perspectives and says it is scanning for the golfer. Then it just sits at this screen apparently trying to detect. I have sent three emails over a week to support asking for guidance and have not received any response. I really wanted this to work!

I can’t open the app anymore. It just shuts before anything loads. It’s a pretty decent training aid when it works. It can point you in the right direction. I bought the annual subscription and I still have 4 months left and I can’t even use it. Disappointed.

This is so dramatic but I can’t think of an app that set out to do something and did it as well as this app does. I am absolutely mind blown by what it is capable of and felt I had to come and leave a review.

The app continues to crash when analyzing my swings.

Sample before buy didn’t work. And never gave price. It might be a good app, but wasn’t willing to spend money before I knew if it was the right fit for me or not. I’ve purchased to many apps that were bogus.

There is no option to unsubscribe in their app or website. I’ve contacted their support email (provided in their T&Cs) 4 times from July-Oct 2024 and have not received a single response. If you delete the app, you are still subscribed and will continue to be charged.

I know the problem of my swing why cant the ai recommend me drills to fix my problems??

The swing analysis is not very useful, for example it was say a downswing is on plane when you can clearly say it’s too steep. Additionally it adds no comments on the lead arm, you could have it completely bent during the backswing and it will say nothing about it. Overall, I would say this feedback is decent but maybe not for a beginner, it ignores the basics of a golf swing.

The AI is not ready for release, guys. I can’t discern shot sequences correctly, follow through keeps getting detected as top swing, etc. I need a refund of the annual charge, I had stopped using the app quickly after trying it out during the trial. Good idea but bad execution.

It literally hasn’t loaded 1 swing over in 1 hour
