simple but needs a few features
i love the layout of the app and the haptic feedback that it has ( odd thing to point out, but whatever). i wish i could add custom meals to be able to easily pick that same set of ingredients in the future though

It’s amazing how it nails what I’m eating. I like adding and subtracting what macros to track as well. Thanks!
Love the app and the ability to snap pics of food and have it almost accurately predict the macros, though it seems the obvious feature of being able to add custom food items with macros based on just manually reading a nutrition label, is missing. When scanning the wrappers of some snacks it gets the information wrong, and theres no way to edit this, which is very annoying but easily fixable
This is the first food tracker I’ve used that actually made me feel in control of my diet and not endlessly frustrated!! The interface is clean and simple. The camera-based logging feature is really cool – I’m not sure about how accurate it is, but it sure beats agonizing and trying to guess macros blindly. The free tier offers just the right amount of functionality, I don’t feel like I’m being pushed into a paid subscription – but I like the app so much that I want to support its development anyway. Here are some feature requests: - Add a timeline (weekly / monthly ) view with a bar chart of the logged macros, so there’s a visual representation of how well you’re meeting your goals on a weekly basis. - Add an .xml export feature Another idea I have is to incorporate volume / water content stats into all the items in the food library (theoretically this could be done with ML, with some accuracy errors) and have a volume-eating setting for the AI coach, in order to compete with Noom. Spelt could position itself as a less expensive and simpler option for people who have had success with weight loss using Noom, but don’t want to be locked into their expensive subscription in order to maintain their bodycomp. I don’t know of any nutrition trackers that have volume / water content info, and Noom acts like they came up with the approach themselves which sets them apart in the diet app market.
Best health and nutrition app I have used!
Just a quick shoutout to Spelt - it's been a total lifesaver. I'm usually the type to give up on logging food because it can be such a pain. But Spelt changed the game. I snapped a pic of my lunchtime wrap the other day, and it nailed every ingredient. It even caught the sneaky sprouts I threw in there! And the AI coach is pretty cool. It reminded me to drink more water on a super busy day, which I needed tbh. If you're like me and kinda forgetful about these health things, give Spelt a shot.
