splitty - bills made easy

It’s convenient, easy, precise and clean for functionality of the app. It would be cool to have a feature to add multiple payments into one group (similar functionalities as Splitwise app). Thank you for launching it!

Great app. Easy to use. I’d make 2 improvements: start with per item people deselected (would result in less clicks) and make sharing the breakdown easier.

Also tried plates and tab, liked this one the best. The picture to text works great too. Send this one up.

This app is extremely useful and is very well designed! Hope more people find out about this app

I used to dread the end of a meal out with friends since we all usually paid separately. Also felt bad for the restaurant having so many processing fees for each of us. Splitty made it quick and easy to divvy up the bill and request payment from everyone. A search bar for contacts would make it even better! Not everyone in my group had an iPhone or Venmo so iMessage wasn't a option. Integrating with PayPal or Cash App too would be great. I used the tool to copy the itemized note to send to everyone and thought everything worked great, until I reliazed that the note did not include the tax and tip which I paid! The "copy charge amount" option includes that though. 🤨 So I ended up eating a few extra dollars, not the biggest deal in the world, but thought it was worth mentioning.

The OCR is excellent and the splitting interface is fantastic. The only request I have is to be able to search for contacts in the contact view. I’m surprised this isn’t built into the View provided by Apple, but yeah that would save time.

I am often paying the bill at outings with friends or family and dread calculating the bill. I spent most of my morning today looking for an app where i can take a picture of my receipt and make it easy for me to assign the cost of an item to an individual. So glad I found splitty which does exactly that - and its so straightforward & user interface is easy to navigate. My only feedback (which would be more of an improvement) is to: 1) provide a summary screenshot to send to friends / family versus inviting them to the app since most people use zelle over venmo these days. 2) provide an entry for individual taxes. In san francisco, they have an sf mandate tax and a sales tax. This wasnt a big deal at all but i had to open up my calculator to add the two taxes. Adding this line item would make the experience nice and seamless.

This app was perfect for splitting shared groceries or anything on one bill. But then it stopped working.

Worked once but now when I open the app, a black screen is present. Can’t take a picture of the receipt.
