Sporcle

I really like taking Sporcle quizzes but the way it’s ported over to mobile is garbage. You can barely scroll and half of the time the keyboard is covering most of the content. Make it better and I’d give it 4 stars.

I purchased the original sporcle app, which is saying something because I almost never buy an app. It was simple but it worked and I played it almost every night. All of a sudden the app I purchased disappeared completely. Then I had to download this as a replacement with a totally different pay scheme. Crooks.

I can’t use the search feature! The search bar hides behind the top navigational bar and you can drag it down to see the search bar, but as soon as you let go (to try to type or even touch it to get your cursor in the search field) it goes behind the top navigational bar again. The rest of the app I can deal with, including ads … necessary to make it free, but I wouldn’t consider a subscription if I can’t use the search feature. Please fix this!

This is clearly just another game company going for microtransactions in order to make more money, the new Sporcle is nowhere near as enjoyable as the old Sporcle, and personally I’d much rather pay for the game like I did years ago, than have to watch a stupid ad every 2 games.

Adding friends, looking at a history of the ones you played shouldn't be this complicated. Its like the creators never played the game themselves. So much potential though

Loved the Sporcle app for a decade. This new app is horrendous and cluttered with ads. If you still have the old one, keep it and enjoy the archive. Do not download this!

Nice job killing a good app

This new version is sooooo cluttered; I haven’t found a way to bookmark my quizzes; I can’t see what my score was on quizzes I’ve previously taken; I choose the Recent Quizzes tab and then when I’m done, I’m bounced back to Intro Quizzes as if I didn’t just choose Recent Quizzes; I don’t mind ads, but don’t put them between the end of the game and the answers; and some of my favorite quizzes from the old version never made it to the new version. Not happy.

Lots to like about the new format. 2 things on the negative side: I can’t see how to easily tell which quizzes I have already played, and I don’t like that when I finish a quiz I’m not automatically taken back to where I selected the previous quiz but instead have to drill down through the same menu choices all over again.

I loved the older version. This new version is a specter of the original. I feel like this new one dumbs everything down. Why can’t you keep the older one going too? I would actually subscribe to it .
