After logging in with Apple ID on the website I was able to get in, but app is non-functional. If accessing through browser, I can tap “Access through the Spotlight app” but that just results in “Spotlight News” with a spinning logo on a green background, interspersed with a pop-up “Login Failed -1001” box. Now I have a headache…
This site is perfect for keeping up with all the news. I am interested in. It really does a great job and just finding the things I’m interested in.
*only rating this one star so developer will notice* I just updated the app and now when I open the app it is the start page when you first download the app. When I try to press next it immediately crashes. Thanks for making a cool app! I hope this bug is fixed soon so I can continue using it. Update: App is working now. Thank you!!
I’ve had the Spotlight news app for a week and I find I’ve been reading more articles everyday. I check it in the morning and at night. Thank you for making a great app!
All your favorite content in one place. Looking for your local, regional, national or world news. Want to read your favorite magazine or the latest financial. But what I most enjoyed was that I could follow all of my kids school news from one place, in real time!
Simple and sleek app that offers many local and college papers conveniently. Their “Interests” feature is really nice and allows me to focus on articles that I prefer to see. Their content catalog always seems to be expanding too.
No matter which publishers I follow or not, I see almost everything in my feed. I only want to see the Daily Collegian (Penn State student newspaper) yet I see stuff about Auburn, the Mets, etc. If not fixed in the next release I’m deleting this app and using the Collegian web site instead.
Sadly, one could decide what one wanted to read in the previous app. Maybe real news but what someone else has decided I should read.
A basic functionality!
As a college student myself I can definitely say it’s easy to get lost in all the different kinds of information sent around and it’s nice to know Spotlight exists to make it easy to stay in the know.
