Great way to get around

SpottedByLocals app is a great tool to find out really what locals are fond of. You can be part of it, too, with the app!

A trip that goes deep and beyond

Looking for nice spots in Helsinki where I often go as a ”tourist” even though it’s in my own home country, Finland. In the Spotted by Locals App I found great new spots I didn’t know about before and new local views to the spots I already knew. My next trip to Helsinki will definately be different than before and include a nice collection of the spots recommeded in the App. And there will be new spots for many more trips to come! Looking forward to them!

Great app for locals and travellers

Good selection of different cities and tips of cool places! The content is being updated continuously and complemented with new recommendations. Also, it’s a handy app for locals, who want to find new spots in their own hoods.

Used this in 10+ cities

Great app that doesn’t clutter the city map with the basic sight that everyone already knows. I have used Spotted by Locals maps in 10+ cities and always find the most unique and quirky places trough the app! Photos could be prettier but then again with non-professional photos you don’t get tricked by a pretty edit and actually see what the place looks like.

Good but overpriced

Majority of recommendations are about places to eat or drink. Too little about the activities and culture.

Excellent tips

It's so great to get the locals' perspective when traveling and not just getting recommended all the tourist places. Definitely worth having the app for your travels.

Proven in Lisbon, Milan & Copenhagen

I’ve used this now in three locations and every time there has been wonderful bars, hangouts, areas and shops I would most probably missed without it. So it really did work for me in Lisbon (local areas and treats), Milan (local brews and bars and shops) and Copenhagen (artisan beer). Highly recommended value for just a few euros.

The best travel app!

Spotted by locals is a must for any traveler. It enhances any trip. I have used it in several European cities and with a GPS & recommendations from local residents that are not touristy it is the best!! Also very reasonable. I’m about to go to Copenhagen and just bought my guide!
