Spreeder - Speed Reading

It helps me a lot since I started using it and tried to read different books with comprehension. I wish there would be more available motivational books.

1. The app doesn’t work. 2. Once you’ve paid, you can’t cancel your subscription within the account. Therefore 1+2= EReflect are frauds

I'm following the web instructions. I've clicked on the proper tabs. The Account page is not showing me the link that will let me do the cancellation. It is just showing me an entry area to upload a picture and school name. Absurd!

Really disappointed by this app. I signed up for the monthly subscription and can’t even get my app to load half the time. The other half of the time there are so many bugs in the courses that I can’t even get through anything.

I’d love to like this, but it’s the buggiest apps I’ve used. It keeps asking me to update—it’s updated. I’m trying to do one of the courses, and pushing Start Speed Test doesn’t do anything, and you can’t skip past it. Their library is bizarre. Despite having access to tons of public domain material, the initial suggested starting books are a bunch of odd titles that you’ve never heard of. (OK maybe somebody is excited to see “Wonderful Wedding Favors and Wedding Gifts” and “Profitable Crafts (vol 4)” in their speed reading app, but can we agree it’s a nonstandard choice?) That’s fine, I’ll just search the library. That brings you into one of the most annoying search systems I’ve ever seen. The suggested categories are, well, e.g., one category is “Auxiliary Sciences of History.” If you type in the search bar to find a book, prepare to have the page randomly refresh and tell you you don’t have any Word Lists yet. No, I was not searching for a word list. Throw in the occasional random blank screen and some odd parsing of PDF’s and you get an app that probably won’t get used past the 7-day trial.

I’d love to try this app. I’d even love to pay for it. Unfortunately, every time I try to log in, it says I need an activation code. I did receive an email with a link to activate the program. But there’s no activation code that I can copy and paste. And clicking the activation link does not communicate with anything apparently. I really can’t believe that this program came up first in Google. It’s just not ready for prime time!

The website claims it supports 46 common formats including ePub. I tried 5 books and it always fails, saying that an error occurred. Those files work well on every other apps.

The methods for increasing reading speed, focus, and comprehension outlined and reinforced in this app, are tried and true. The bones for building and strengthening these skills are all here. However, there are painful bugs in the way that this app attempts to build your speed. Within the first day of use the app had text blazing past at over 4,000 wpm and within some of the targeted skills the next level is far too ramped from the previous that it makes actually acquiring the skills nearly impossible. Unfortunately there are no apparent ways to adjust speeds on the fly or correct user speed settings to make the app useful.
